TEACHERS’ ORIENTATION (CEBU-NEGROS CLUSTER)

MODERATOR’S SCRIPT

J: Good morning ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the 2nd Day of Teachers’
Orientation Cebu-Negros Cluster. My fellow teachers, it’s that time of year once again –
it’s summer break for some but for us it’s another journey of professional development
and hopefully a fun-filled and worthwhile experience.

X: That’s right, even if we are not literally taking a break from our role as classroom
teachers, this training/seminar is somewhat a refresher course for us and a perfect
opportunity for us to keep ourselves updated of the educational trends.

J: Remember, you can’t give what you don’t have so if you want to give more to your
students and to further your commitment in teaching, attending this orientation might
just actually be a right decision.

X: Since this event is deemed significant, let us officially commence our gathering today
by asking divine intervention as Infant King Academy of Jimalalud lead us all in
prayer. Let us all stand.

J: Once again, Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen and to all our RVM sisters, praised
be Jesus and Mary! It is our pleasure to be the moderator for today’s seminar. I am Sir
Jasper.

X: and I am Miss Xysti. on behalf of all the people behind this orientation, I would like to
extend a most cordial welcome to all of you to the 2 nd day of Teachers’ Orientation. We
appreciate you taking time off your busy schedules to join us yesterday and today. We
hope you will learn a lot, we have lined-up for you to be fruitful and engaging.
J: According to a famous philosopher, John Dewey, “Education is not just a preparation
for life, but it is a life itself. When there is education there is light, and if there is light,
there is hope, and if there is hope, we can teach minds, and if we can teach minds, we
can touch hearts and if we can touch hearts, we can transform lives.

X: Yesterday we had successfully finished the Day 1 of our Teachers’ Orientation. From
sharing on Synodality, the life of Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo, the RVM and Quality
Transformative Ignacian Marian Education up until to the mentoring, coaching and
feedbacking that was facilitated by our dear facilitators. And we all know that every
beginning necessitates to an end, and that every ending is a prelude to something
greater. With that being said, let us listen to a Learning Insight and recap of yesterday’s
event to be shared to us by St. Mary’s Academy of Oslob. A warm of applause for them,
please.

J: Thank you so much, SMA – Oslob for refreshing our minds from the previous
session. We really appreciate that. At this time, let’s begin the first agenda of today’s
session which is the Demo and Critiquing. To facilitate this session, let us all welcome
(introduce S. Remy) Please put your hands together for S. Remy Villaraiz, RVM.

X: The advisor’s role is an active rather than a passive one and the process of advising
requires the following objectives to be met for each student and help them define and
develop realistic educational career plans. To give us a proper training to be an efficient
and effective class adviser for this school year and to come, let us all lend our ears once
again to S. Ma. Remy Villaraiz, RVM for the Class Advisory Training.

(Class Advisory Training)

J: Thank you for the powerful and heartwarming words S. Remy. We, the Ignacian
Marian Educators often stimulate our students’ senses to prepare them for the learning
process and today we are no different from our students. We came here today not as
teachers but as learners and we really appreciate your time and effort in sharing your
expertise to help us meet the vision and mission of the school and to the congregation.

X: We are honored to present this certificate of recognition to S. Ma Remy Villaraiz,

RVM as deep appreciation for your visionary guidance and exemplary skills for this 2
days Teachers’ Orientation. Let me read to you the citation of this certificate (read the
certificate)

J: And to give this certificate and token of appreciation, let us welcome S. Mary Grace
Sebigan, RVM our RVM EMC Member for Basic Education to be assisted by (insert
name) (credentials)

X: Reminders before eating…

J: Prayer before Meals

(LUNCH)

X: For us to begin the second part for today’s orientation, let us recognize the wonderful
deeds that God has given us all throughout the orientation and let us ask him his divine
intervention as we go along the way as St. Mary’s Academy of San Nicolas lead us all in
this afternoon prayer. May I request everyone to please stand..

J: Shall we begin with few muscle stretches and a bit of dance moves before we start
the training? Let us witness and participate the energizer prepared by St. Mary’s
Academy of Dalaguete. A cheers for them please.
(ENERGIZER)

So how do you feel right now? I hope your tired and bored cells in your body were
triggered and activated with that energizer. I hope you are ready to take on the
challenges of today’s remaining orientation.

X: Modernly, there has been a rise in child abusive with no true rhyme or reason. Abuse
can not only affect the child physically, but emotionally and mentally as well. To deepen
our understanding about this concern, we are honored to have Ms. Rosheenavic
Pamugas (credentials). Please give her a warm of applause.

J: Thank you so much Miss Vic, we have gained a lot of knowledge and understanding
about Mental health. Talking about mental health helps improve our communities by
making it more acceptable for those suffering from mental illnesses to seek help, learn
to cope, and get on the road to recovery. In addition, mental health isn't just about
mental illnesses. It's also about maintaining a positive state of wellbeing. For us to have
some additional insights about School Discipline with Legal Basis in Education, let us
lend our ears to Mr, Jed Rivera. Let’s give him a hand..

X: Discipline in the classroom helps students stay focused on their academics. Over
time, this teaches them how to focus in other ways. A disciplined student is able to stay
focused on his goals and keep his work a top priority. Thank you so much sir Jed for
that input.. truly discipline is very important for us teachers for us to have harmony and
better education.

J: You are exactly right, Ms. Xysti. It’s a challenge for us dear teachers on how we
maintain such good attitude for our students until the end of the school year. Let’s
acknowledge the efforts exerted by our respective facilitators for today’s orientation by
giving them these certificates of recognition and the token of appreciation. Let me first
read to you the citation of the certificate.. (reads the citation)

X: And to give the certificate of recognition and token of appreciation, let us all welcome
S. Mary Grace Sebigan, RVM. A round of applause please. Thank you so much Sir Jed
and Miss Vic.. at this time, S. Mary Grace Sebigan, RVM the EMC Member for Basic
Education – Visayas Region will share and impart her knowledge to us about the
Update and Evaluation on the DepEd k to 10 Curriculum together with the DepEd
Representative in Region 7.. Please give it up for S. Mary Grace and (name)

J: We have come to the last session of the orientation.. to give us some insights about
the revision on Philippine History in Araling Panlipunan, karangalan kong ipakilala ang
ating tagapagsalita para sa sesyon na ito.. Ginoong Jed Rivera. Let’s give him a hand.

(Recognize sir Jed)

(Sharing of Insights)

X: Now, for the words of gratitude, let us call on (insert name) from St. Mary’s Academy
of Dalaguete. Can we have a huge round of applause, please?

J: Thank you (name) for this insightful message. As we come to an end of our program,
may we call on the Infant King Academy of Jimalalud to lead us the closing prayer..

B: Thank you so much fellow Ignacian-Marian Educators for your presence and
participation in this year’s Teachers’ Orientation. I hope that as we end this orientation,
it will equip us even more as we welcome our students next month of this school year
2023-2024. God bless everyone. Once again, I am Jasper Momo, and I am Xysti
Moncada.
