DEFINITION OF TERMS

TERMS DESCRIPTION
FACT Is a statement or assertion that can be proven to
be true or false based on objective evidence.
IDEA Is a mental concept or thought formed by
imagination. It is often a creative or abstract
concept that may or may not have been tested
and proven.
CONCEPT Is a general idea or notion that represents a
category of objects, events or phenomena.
CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK Is a structure or model that organize and define
the key concepts, variables, and relationship in a
particular study or research.
HYPOTHESIS is a testable statement or proposition that
suggests a possible explanation for a
phenomenon.
ASSUMPTIONS Is a statement or belief that is taken for granted
or accepted without direct proof of evidence.
THEORY Is a comprehensive and well-substantiated
explanation of a set of facts or phenomena.
