Local flora is plants that are grown by humans in their own home.
Native plant requires low maintenance, it reduces air pollution and it provides us more
oxygen into our home.

Allspice (Jamaica pepper)


(uses) one of the most important Jamaica cuisine, used to flavor variety of stews, tomato sauce and
meat dishes. It can also be used to flavor dessert, in many countries it is the only spice that they use for
their food.
(benefits) It can be used for menopause treatment, they extract binds the estrogen receptors,
it can also be use for cancer fighting properties, most allspice have a cancer fighting property.
(cultivation tips) Jamaica remains as the leading source of the plant, Although it can also be grown into
other places, in that region. It can also be cultivated in many warm parts of the world.

Bay leaf
(uses) Aromatic leaf used for cooking, leaves in soup and stocks but you cant taste it in them
(benefits) It can benefit or improve our digestion, relieve respiratory conditions, reduces anxiety and
decreases stress.
(cultivation tips) Bay leaf plants prefer sunny spots, water regularly and manage the soil.
Calendula
(uses) Used for various skin conditions, helps wound and heals, diaper rash, Dermatitis and other skin
condition.
(benefits) Its benefits are helping skin condition and healing them, Reduces pain from inflammation and
can be used as a replacement of sunscreen and moisturizer
