STATION 2 (LEFT SIDE OF CABIN) 1. Oil drain. : Check no oil under scupper.
2. EPU door. : Closed or EPU plugged-in.
1. Front door. : Check condition, plastic gd, jettison sys. 3. Eng cowling. : Locked.
2. Rear door. : Check condition, sliding door-locked. 4. Rt cargo compartment. : Check bty & load secured, door closed &

4. Static port. : Clear from FOD & red tags removed. 5. MGB cowling. : No FOD on deck & cowling locked.
5. OAT sensors, antenna. : Check condition. 6. Hydr & Eng oil. : Check lvl.
6. Lt cargo compartment. : Check load secure, door closed & locked. 7. Ldg gear & foot step. : Secured, visually check.
7. Fuel tk. : Check filler plug closed. 8. All lower fairing. : Check locked.
8. MGB cowling. : Check oil lvl & cowling locked. 9. Doors. : Check condition, plastic gd, jettison sys.
9. Main rotor head & blades. : Visually inspect for any impact / dent.
10. Eng air intake. : Check clear of FOD. INTERIOR CHECK (INSIDE CABIN)
11. Eng cowling. : Locked. 1. Cabin. : Clean & free from FOD.
12. All lower fairing panels. : Locked. 2. Fire extinguisher. : Check secured.
13. Rear cargo door. : Open, check load secured, ELT armed, 3. Fuses / breakers. : All set.
door closed & locked. 4. Loads & objs carried. : Stowed and secured.
14. Oil drain. : Check no oil under scupper. 5. Oxygen bottles (if carried). : Check secured.
15. Exhaust cover. : Removed. 6. First aid kit. : Check secured.
STATION 3 (LEFT SIDE OF TAIL) 7. Fuel tk & hel keys. : On board.

2. Tail boom, antennas. : Check condition, fairings & fasteners If the hel is to be parked some time between flt, temporary picketing is
locked. recommended in wind above 40 kts.
3. Hor stabilizer. : Check general condition & lt secured.

PRESTART CHECKS 23. [HYDR TEST] : PRESS for 2 sec (check pedals free mov,
lt pedal 0.8 inch fwd) then DEPRESS.
1. Seats and pedals. : ADJUSTED.
24. Twist grip set to FLT. : TWT GRIP (Check free mov).
2. Seat belts. : FASTENED.
25. Twist grip set to IDLE. : TWT GRIP + GONG.
3. Head set/ Helmet. : CONNECTED.
26. [HORN] : DEPRESS, HORN
4. Cyclic stick. : CENTRE, friction adjusted.
27. Wt calc. : Perform.
5. Starting selector. : OFF position.
6. EBCAU switch. : GUARDED and wire locked. ENG STARTING CHECKS
7. Rotor brake. : RELEASED, check physically.
1. CWP. : CHECK GOV
8. Fuel shut-off lever. : FWD, check gd condition.
2. [FUEL PUMP] : PRESS (punch clock for 30 sec).
NOTE
3. [A/COL LT] : PRESS.
Do not push the plastic gd - It breaks away very easily.
4. Check. : Disc area clear, fire gd posted.
9. Compass. : Check for fluid, leakage and indication.
5. Obtain clearance. : From gr crew.
10. Instrument penal. : Check static readings.
6. Starting selector. : ON and CHECK:-
11. Clock. : ADJUSTED.
* Ng inc.
12. All radios and nav eqpt. : OFF.
* T4 remains below its limits.
13. SCU. : Check all switches DEPRESS.
* Rotor is turning at Ng > 25%.
14. Coll lever. : Check op, adjust friction full down &
* Eng oil pr inc.
LOCKED.
7. Ng < 50%. : FUEL P and GENE
15. Twist grip. : IDLE.
8. Ng 60%. : FLI page displayed.
16. Hydr cutoff switch. : Check ON.
9. Ng > 67 %. : ENG P MGB P HYDR
17. Heating & Demisting. : Check OFF.
10. Starting selector gd. : Lowered and SECURE.
18. [EXT PWR/BATT] & [GEN] : PRESS.
11. [FUEL PUMP] : DEPRESS (Off).
¾ GOV and GOV flicker and go off.
12. [PITOT] : PRESS, PITOT
¾ Torque meter needle goes to 70 % and comes back to zero.
13. [ATTITUDE] : PRESS (On).
¾ Fuel flow stabilizes. : At about 43 kg/h (54 ltr/h).
14. [GYRO COMPASS] : PRESS (On).
¾ VEMD Top screen. : 3-data page appears, check msg.
¾ VEMD Bottom screen. : Veh page appears, check msg. NOTE 1
¾ Bty voltage. : > 22 V. If the starting procedure has to be aborted, return the starting selector to
18. CWP lts. : CHECK ON. OFF, switch off the fuel pump and gen.
GENE PITOT ENG P NOTE 2
FUEL P HORN HYDR MGB P If EPU used, after disconnect GENE BATT, ensure EPU door closed.
TWT RUN-UP CHECKS
GRIP
With EPU ----------------------- Same as above + BATT 1. All nec sys. : Check ON.
19. ICS and GPS nav sys. : ON. 2. Twist grip. : Check IDLE.
20. [W/LT TEST] : Perform. (All lts svc). 3. Coll lever. : Check down and LOCKED.
21. [HORN] : PRESS, HORN CAUTION
22. [FIRE TEST] : Perform, FIRE + Gong & FIRE If not locked, the coll lever will mov up when the accumulators are depleted
or when the hydr cutoff switch on the coll is set to OFF.

NOTE HYDR CAUTION
T/O is prohibited until maint carried out.
¾ In actual emergency do not press [HYDR TEST], it will depressurize

(3) Perform a shallow apch into the wind.
