Lesson Presentation
Introduction We will begin talking about spring and what animals come out
during this time. We will discuss bees and their impact on the
environment.
Sequence of activities First, have a few students help with passing out the paper and
including assessments markers. After everything is passed out, I’ll explain that we are
going to be painting the bees and explain the rules of using
markers and how to be careful of others. Then, I will tell them
the steps of coloring them, which include coloring the bee
yellow (making sure they outline it first) and then adding the
black lines. After they do the base of the bee, I will allow them
to color the wings however they would like to and add googly
eyes.
Lesson Wrap-up After everyone is done (or if we run out of time), I’ll have them
put their work on a separate table. Then we will talk again about
what bees do for the environment and how they help flowers
grow.
