INTRODUCTION

A Field Study is a general method used to gather data on users, their needs,
and product requirements through observation and interviews. The study collects
data on task flows, inefficiencies, and the organizational and physical environments
of users.

The main objective of Field Study 1 is to observe the learners, school structure,
and the community. As the student teachers are experiencing the school
environment for the first time, they are required to pay attention to the school and
classroom facilities, as well as the organization of the school. The student teachers
will observe the behavior of the learners in the real learning environment. By
observing the learners, the student teachers will gain insight into effective methods
to promote learning, taking into account the different stages of growth and
development.

Field Study 1 provides student observers with an introduction to the behavior of

learners in various stages of development, the school environment, and the school
community. This field study offers them the chance to develop their careers as they
observe the structure of the school, classrooms, facilities, teachers, parents, and
students.

The observation course offers opportunities for them to improve their

communication skills through exchanging ideas with their buddy, cooperating
teachers, pupils, and parents. This observation also involves observing how teachers
interact with one another, students, parents, and other individuals involved in the
education process.

Motto:

5
BELIEFS ON TEACHING AND LEARNING (PRE)

In my personal perspective, I firmly believe that learning is an indispensable,

inherent, continuous, and lifelong journey. As an aspiring educator, it is my aspiration

that every individual has the capacity to acquire knowledge, while also striving to set

reasonable expectations that challenge and stimulate all learners. Furthermore, it is

crucial for individuals to exhibit their eagerness for learning and recognize that every

interaction can serve as an opportunity to both teach and learn. Given that the

primary purpose of assessment is to enhance the process of learning, it affords all

students the chance to demonstrate their understanding, the significance they place

on certain concepts, and their capability to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, I

am of the opinion that learning involves the act of comprehending the world around

us, thus it is imperative to comprehend the process of development and

acknowledge that concepts are constructed and susceptible to being questioned or

revised. Consequently, it becomes crucial to identify and adapt to the unique

variations and learning styles exhibited by each individual, as learners are distinct

and have a personal responsibility for their own educational journey.

6
BELIEFS ON TEACHING AND LEARNING (POST)

As a student and aspiring teacher, I hold the belief that assignments given to

students should strike a delicate balance between being challenging and achievable.

It's common for students to perceive a lack of progress in their language learning if

tasks are not adequately demanding, potentially leading to boredom and

disengagement. On the other hand, overly difficult tasks can result in frustration and

discouragement. Hence, as a future teacher, I recognize the importance of creating a

supportive and conducive learning environment.

I understand that students' ability to learn is impeded when they feel

apprehensive about participating in class discussions. To address this, I am

committed to fostering a classroom atmosphere that is welcoming and comfortable.

My approach involves consistently encouraging students and providing ample

positive feedback. Additionally, I aim to personalize each lesson topic and

incorporate pair and group activities, rather than relying solely on whole-class

discussions. This approach is geared towards ensuring that the learning experience

is both challenging and enjoyable for students.
