Description: This app lesson will develop kindergarten students’ knowledge and
understanding of addition.

Instructional Objective: Students will practice counting by ones on the Zap Zap
Kindergarten app. They will then transition into comparing numbers and determining
which ones are higher and lower in value using the Compare Numbers app . Finally,
students will produce a drawing based off a word problem that has them use addition
in the Math Word Problems for K-1 app.

Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will use Zap Zap Kindergarten to
learn how to count to 100 by boarding a spaceship and traveling to different number-
related planets.
