ECLOS INSTALLATION FLOWCHART – PAGE #1
SECTION 1
System delivery.
Uncrate and inspect system components and move to
the room.
Note: Be sure to thoroughly inspect the large cover
crate for all items (approximately 11).
Review system order documentation and verify all line
items have been delivered to the site.
Contact Kyndrea Kub (X 2627) regarding any missing
items.
SECTION 2
Position the system components in the room per the
dimensions in the site planning drawing.
Document any site condition/problems not indicated on
the pre-installation checklist.

SECTION 3
Remove the shipping wheels and lower shipping
brackets (do not remove the rotation shipping
brackets yet).
Level the gantry base then drill through the holes in the
base and install the concrete anchors.
Refer to Installation Guide – Pages #1 and #2
SECTION 4
Remove the remaining gantry shipping brackets (do not
remove the rotation shipping brackets yet).
Save the top rotation shipping bracket next to the heat
exchanger side (used for X-Ray Tube changes).

SECTION 5
Note: Starting with Serial Number 50XX the X-Ray
Tube and Heat Exchanger will come pre-
installed on the system.
Assemble and mount the X-Ray Tube crane and hoist.
Install the X-Ray Tube and Heat Exchanger.
Install oiled wafers on the end of the High Voltage
Cables.
Connect the High Voltage cables to the X-Ray Tube.
Connect the rotor and power cables to/from the Tube.
Install the tube safety bracket.
Install the bracket between the Tube and Heat
Exchanger.
Secure all cable/oil lines coming from the X-Ray Tube.
Install the cover plate over the cables.
Install the FSD motor.

SECTION 6
Note: Starting with Serial Number 50XX the Detector
will come pre-installed on the system.
Unpack and install the Detector assembly and all
cables.
Remove the remaining shipping brackets (save the
bottom slip ring bracket for X-Ray Tube changes).
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #7 through #10
SECTION 7
Check the brake and encoder assemblies.
Manually rotate the gantry and inspect for cable
clearance, smooth operation, abnormal noise, etc.
Place Speaker, X-Ray Generator, Console desk and
Image Processor in place using Standard Details.
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #10 through #12
SECTION 8
Position the table templates. Mark the notches and
check how level the floor is.
Install the gantry front cover.
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #12 and #13
SECTION 9
Position the table on the marks made in Section 8.
Install the foot switch assembly.
Connect all cables between the table and gantry base.
Inspect the table for damage and remove the shipping
brackets.
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #13 through #15
SECTION 10
Run the power cable to the X-Ray Generator cabinet.
Route system cables between the Gantry, X-Ray
Generator and Image Processor using the interconnect
diagram as a guide.
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #15 and #16
SECTION 11
Connect all cables in the X-Ray Generator cabinet.
Connect the X-Ray Warning lamp cable.
Connect the door switch cable (if present). If the door
switch is not used the contacts must be jumpered out.

SECTION 12
Connect all cables at the gantry (Joint Base).
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #17 and #18
SECTION 13
Connect all cables in the Image Processor.
Install all desktop components.
Refer to the Installation Guide – Page #17 through #18
SECTION 14
Perform the system power up checks.
Complete the gantry and table checks.
Calibrate the Gantry tilt motion.
Run the Gantry speed checks.

SECTION 15 SECTION 23
Perform Sections 1, 2 and 3 of the ECLOS Calibration Complete the installation and perform functional checks.
Procedure (QS4-59608). Check all gantry and table motions.
Refer to the Installation Guide – Page #19 Verify there are no cover or cables binding, rubbing or
creating noises, scrapes, etc.
Clean the system for customer use.
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #22
SECTION 16
Level the Table front to back and side to side.
Complete the X-Ray Tube Maintenance Warm-up.
Complete the final table alignment.
Check the table levelness. The End
Drill and install the floor anchors in the table.
Calibrate the table motion.

SECTION 17
Complete the Laser alignment and verification.
Refer to Installation Guide – Page #20 and #21

SECTION 18
Perform Sections #4 through #16 of the ECLOS
Calibration Procedure (QS4-59608).
Note: If the X-Ray Tube and Detector came pre-
installed the following calibrations do not have
to be done: Section 6.0, Section 9.0, Section
10.0, Section 13.0, Section 14.0.

Complete the ECLOS Installation Data Record QSF-
54037).
Complete the FDA Form 2579.

Check system software configuration.
Install option software as required.

Complete the Network and DICOM configurations.
Test the Network functionality.
Test the DICOM functionality.

Perform the Daily QC procedure 5 times.
Record the average ROI values on the Daily QC
Phantom.
