EPL1531 Battery

1. Introduction of components
Appearance:

If you want to disassemble the battery, you need to turn off the four screws at the
red circle and remove the upper cover.
Internal structure:

(1) BMS power supply: BMS power supply line is 2 red thin wires.
(2) Temperature sensor: The temperature sensor is shown in the figure below, which
is two black thin wires with protective sleeve. Take out the temperature sensor and
detect the voltage of the temperature sensor. The voltage should be below 50K Ω. If
the resistance value exceeds 100k Ω or even open circuit, the temperature sensor will
be damaged.
(3) Acquisition line: a total of 9 acquisition lines are connected with the positive
and negative poles of each cell.
(4) BATT- and BATT+: The BATT+ is the red line, which is directly led out from the
cell. The BATT- is a black line, which is led out from the cell and connected to the
external total negative interface through the BMS board.
2.Judge whether the battery is damaged
There are 6 interfaces at the bottom of the battery, which are respectively marked
with B +, can-H, can-L, K, negative and positive. Check each port according to
the following steps, and make preliminary judgment without dismantling the
battery.
(1) You can use a multimeter to measure the voltage between B + and K,
which should be more than 24 v. if the voltage between B + and K is still less
than 24 V after standing for more than 2 hours, it is preliminarily determined
that the battery is over discharged (the next step can be further confirmed). If
the voltage cannot be measured, it indicates that there is an open circuit in the
internal circuit of the battery, and it is necessary to confirm whether the
internal wiring of the battery is loose.

(2) Short circuit B + and K, and measure the voltage between the positive and
negative. If the voltage is too low in step (1), and the voltage between the
positive and negative cannot be measured at this time, it can be confirmed that
the battery has been over discharged.
Normal battery, the positive and negative voltage should be more than 24 V, and
basically equal to the voltage between B + and K.
How to measure the positive and negative voltage is shown in the figure below.

3. Treatment of over discharge
If the battery discharge time is too long or the idle time is too long, the overall
voltage of the battery will be too low, the BMS board will not start, and the
battery will not output.
The voltage of each cell is measured by the electrode type, the voltage is
between 2.4-3.7v, and the voltage difference of each group is not more than
0.1V. If it exceeds this range, the cell will be damaged.
(1) After confirming that the cell voltage is balanced and there is no
damage, directly add 24 V voltage to the total positive and negative of the
cell group to charge for 15 minutes, and then use the normal charger to
charge.
