The Purpose of this source is to show how women did not have the same rights as men in sports.
It shows that people believed women were supposed to do certain things and nothing else. It also
shows the different movements that were going through for women to get more equal rights with
sports and just in general. Before The Civil Rights Movement and the Women's Suffrage
Movement, Women were making their sports more of just playing informal sports with no rules
rather than competitive. The 2 movements were the main ways women got to have competitive
sports.

The purpose of this source is to give a timeline of the main events that affected women's sports.
This timeline gives events from 1896 all the way up to 2015. It gives small details and
summaries of certain events that happened to make women's sports the way it is today. It gives at
least 15 main events between 1896 and 2015 that helped with women's sports. This will help me
keep events in order for formal assignment 3.

The purpose of this source is to give most of the women who were in the Olympics and what
they did. It gives events from 1900 to 2020 to show the women who had the most significance in
women's sports and the Olympics. Some dates also just give facts or things that happened and
not specific people. It also shows many accomplishments that were made. Also, it gives names of
awards some women got.

The significance of this source is to show that the Summer Olympics in Atlanta of 1996 forever
changed women's sports. It explains how the Women who were participating in the Olympics
were the first generation raised under Title lX. It also says how a federal law was passed in 1972
that prohibits sexual discrimination in educational institutions. This law passed made an increase
in the growth of women's sports and also opened up scholarships. This source shows some of the
great things women did for women sports.

The purpose of this source is to give more information about the history behind women's sports.
This source also mentions the first female athletes. Also, it mentions female athletes and their
accomplishments with sports they played. It also gives the scientific reason behind it all.
Meaning mostly why people thought women shouldn't play sports and things like that.
