Define "Process Protocol" and identify its implication in your clinical practice.

Share a process
protocol that you would want to develop in your current clinical practice and state the possible
outcome of this proposed protocol. One initial post (Minimum 250 words) and One substantial
response (Minimum of 100 words) is necessary to receive full credit. Use at least 1 seminal
resource. Cite your sources in APA format.

Process protocols are used to regulate the practice of medicine and outline each stage of

care delivery. Different clinical practice environments or divisions create their own set of

procedural protocols. A medical protocol is considered a set of preset standards that outline

proper nursing interventions and characterize or express scenarios in which the nurse makes

decisions regarding a course of care action to manage typical patient care issues efficiently. In

all healthcare and clinical settings, the adoption of clinical protocols is advised, and the precise

translation of these papers is crucial. Describing clinical procedures aims to empower medical

professionals to offer patients the best possible diagnosis and care. These guidelines were

developed per a regional norm accepted by medical professionals and organizations with a

regulatory authority. (Scott, 2022)

In my clinical practice, a procedural protocol might create a collaborative approach

between the NP and the MD. To address the customers' healthcare needs, the NP would apply

evaluation and medical skills, as well as process protocols and the physician-NP relationship.

Potential outcomes include reduced expenses, a faster recovery rate, improved patient safety,

increased nurse autonomy, and reduced patient problems. Creating metrics, such as the

procedures associated with measuring the quality of care, which is a requirement for

performance assessment. Because a lack of nursing evaluations might put patients at risk,

assessments are essential to patient safety. In any area of nursing practice, all nurses should be

able to conduct timely and holistic appropriate evaluations. The potential outcome may reduce
expenses; Overspending on healthcare strains American families' and companies' budgets and

jeopardizes crucial programs like Medicare and Medicaid funding. Lastly, fast recovery is

another potential outcome, and it increases patient trust in you because they are aware of the

value of your services. Patients are more inclined to suggest you and use your services again.

There are other potential outcomes too that will give the patient better service and will provide

them with better comfort, and we must know these things in order to have delivered the best

quality care. (Clark, 2021)
