This chart indicates the type and purpose of visits to five different cities in the UK in 2013.

Overall, the percentage of people visiting for miscellaneous reasons are were the lowest,
while holiday and business arewere both the most popular purposes, followed by visiting
friends and family.

Holidays arewere the main reason offor visitors going to Edinburgh with the highest
percentage ofbeing almost 70%, followed by London reaching exactly 50%, then Liverpool
having slightly more than 30%. Hoowever the leading purpose in Manchester and
Birmingham is business.

Visiting friends and relatives is was the second most common causes of visits in all the five
different UK cities. According to thise chart, the third favoured intention to travel to London,
Edinburgh and Liverpool are mostly for business trips, and the 2 other cities due to holidays.
Lastly, miscellaneous purposes have the lowest percentages of tourists in every one of the
five cities in the UK.
