I. NATURE OF BUSINESS

Twist-Tea is a type of beverage business. A beverage business involves the

following: preparation of drink, packaging of drink, and offering drink for sale. Twist-Tea is

a retail shop that will be selling milk teas and fruit teas with a twist. To be more specific,

Beverage Business is the nature of Twist-Tea. The definition of food includes drinks and

beverages. The company will be producing ready-to-drink products, particularly milk teas

with a twist.

BUSINESS ADDRESS: Del Pilar St., Cabanatuan City

TAG LINE: “Not just ordinary tea but a twist tea"

BUSINESS INTRODUCTION/ DESCRIPTION

One of the world's most people served in Filipino beverage along with

variations of Milk tea and alcohol. It has become one of the most popular beverages in any

kind of gathering, event, or celebration in the Philippines. We decided to combine milk tea

and alcohol to make our product extraordinary, and that's one of the reasons why we've

come up with the idea of selling Milk tea and alcohol is because we want it to be the first of

its kind in Cabanatuan City. The word “twist” in the company’s name means to add an extra

to our products while “tea” means “a person who loves Milk Tea”.

The company will be established from a general partnership of seven people

named Ma. Joanna Agustin, Cazandra Bumanlag, Aicie Castro, Mary Ann Corpuz,

Dominick Flores, Andrea Lamar and Arjay Solis. They will act as the company managers

and to facilitate the daily operations of the company.

● Twist-tea aims to provide drink that is worthy and reasonably-priced, and ensure

friendly and courteous service. Along with maintaining a positive environment for

both customers and workers.

VISION

● To be one of the most preferred milk tea shop in Cabanatuan City that offers the best

quality of customer experience and gives everyone a beverage option by fusing

excellent teas with their lifestyle.

ABOUT THE LOGO

There is an icon of a milk tea and beer to emphasize

that the company sells milk tea products. The shape of the logo

has 7 sides which symbolizes the 7 owners of the company.

The upper part is the tagline of the company “not just ordinary

tea but a twist-tea”. Underneath the icon of milk tea and bear is

ribbon. A ribbon is a long, narrow piece of cloth that you use for tying things together. The

ribbon in the logo will serve as the medium in bringing everyone together. The business of

the company is written on the ribbon because through our products.

The colors also have its own meaning and that is why the company chose the

following colors: black and white. Black signifies positive earnings, financially solvent, and

not burdened by too much debt. The company values milk tea and beer which is a trending

product, and satisfy customers in a whimsical and lively way. White contains an equal

balance of all the colors of the spectrum, representing both the positive and negative aspects

negative aspects of them and will show an equal balance of orienting the products,

II. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Twist-tea will be a Milk tea Shop located at Freedom Park, Cabanatuan City. Given

the business name Twist-tea, we will be serving different kinds of Milk tea but with a twist.

The top products that our company will offer with one of the most captivating appearances

and unique, scrumptious flavors are; Fruit Beer Series, Yakult Series and Cocktail Series.

For this reason, businesses that have similar recipes despite having different products are

considered the company's potential competitors. Hence, MILK FRIDGE, JUST BREW IT

CAFE AND SNOWRIFFIC TEA CAFE are the company's three primary competitors in our

company.

The business ownership became a partnership since the group decided to use the

product for their requirement. It is a general partnership of seven people namely, Ma. Joanna

Agustin, Cazandra Bumanlag, Mary Ann Corpuz, Dominick Flores, Andrea Lamar,

Aicie Pacheco and Arjay Solis. The business owners of Twist-tea are very goal-oriented,

confident, and consistent and are passionate on what they are doing. They are aware of the

risks this business could bring but they are also focused and aware of their goals and that’s

what keeps the business on track for reaching success.

Twist-tea’s target customers are students, workers, kids, tourist and residence.

Moreover, Twist-tea is situated in Freedom Park, Cabanatuan City – making it the center of

surrounding schools, therefore a great place to establish the company. The company aims to

take advantage of the high demand of milk tea and provide customers with quality and

affordable milk teas comparable to those sold by known milk tea shops at a higher price.

III. INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

A. FUTURE OUTLOOK AND TRENDS

Milk tea is a beverage containing some combination of milk and tea. There are many

variations of this beverage based on the amount of each of these key ingredients, the

method of preparation, and the inclusion of add-ons. According to a report from

Technikon, a leading market research company with global coverage, the milk tea

market has the potential to grow by USD 963.05 million during 2019-2023, and the

market’s growth momentum will accelerate throughout the forecast period. The year-

over-year growth rate for 2019 is estimated at 6.95%. Majority of the products sold are

pearl milk tea, black tea, and green tea.

The increasing availability of the product through organized retailing is one of the

key factors driving the growth of the milk tea market. With the establishment of

hypermarkets, supermarkets, and specialty stores, organized retailers have grown

significantly around the world. Supermarkets are one of the most important distribution

channels for nutritious, convenient, and reasonably priced food and beverages. Offline

stores have a wider selection of products and provide a better customer experience than

online platforms. Large organized retailers primarily sell ingredients used to make

bubble tea, such as tapioca balls, popping balls, and tea powder. The easy availability of

bubble tea through retail stores significantly boosts its sales, driving market growth over

the forecast period.

Twist-tea is intended to offer something new and authentic. We plan on serving a

mixture of milk tea and alcohol in various flavors that is up to your choice. Nowadays,

people love to try something new and it is a great thing because our products tend to give

you a thrilling yet amazing experience in terms of drinks and beverages. We believe that

good foods and drinks will make your tummy a happy one, a happy tummy equals good

mood and when you're in a good mood, you may appreciate more beautiful things

around you that will make your trip or day an awesome experience.

them relax or reduce tension. The fourth is the home, so as time went on, many homes began

to enjoy the flavor of milk tea because it is ideal in any weather due to its unique

ingredients. The last group is the tourist. Because of its twist and its original, one-of-a-kind

design, many tourists will be persuaded to purchase twist tea products. These groups are all

potentially strong customer segments. The benefit of this mix of customers is that it helps to

maintain consistent business throughout the year.

The sheer number of milk tea fans keep growing as milk tea shops keep popping up

with their extensive menus that ensure anyone can find the right, perfect cup. A lot of people

these days especially teenagers, get stressed a lot. This lifestyle makes milk tea famous to

almost all ages around the country.

Twist-tea will be located at Freedom Park, Cabanatuan City. This is a very good

location given that the company’s target market are population in Cabanatuan City; students,

residence, workers, tourist and kids. Customers are generally motivated if they see unique or

interesting products which is milk tea with a twist and find them satisfying and worth

buying. Sometimes they purchase products simply because they want it and need it to relieve

their stress.

V. PRODUCTION PLAN

A. MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Products Description

This product is a doubled flavor milktea. The term

“fruitbeer” or “fruit” and “beer” refers to a two sided

beverage consist of milktea added with some alcohol of

your choice (alfonso/ gin/ etc.), bringing the concept of

FRUITBEER milktea and beer mixing up together. On its other side, you

can choose from a variety of flavored fruit teas to refresh

yourself after the strong taste given by the beer one. This

drink is a perfect combination of what we call alcohol and

chaser, it will only make you tipsy, but not drunk.

Many of us remember drinking probiotics like Yakult after

a meal because they are known to be good for health, so we

tried combining Milktea and Yakult as you will never get

tired of drinking both. The milk tea craze has spread to the

B. PROMOTION AND DISTRIBUTION

DISTRIBUTION

● Twist-tea offers dine-in and take-out services in order to maximize the daily

operations of the company. In addition, customers can order through the

company’s websites or social media pages, and they can pay through online

payment such as GCash or bank transfer. They can also pay through Cash on

Delivery in order to cater to students or customers who do not have GCash nor

bank accounts. The products will be delivered by FoodPanda/ GrabFood delivery

who will ensure the

products are shipped immediately.

PROMOTION

Twist- tea will implement the following advertising and promotional strategies:

• Buy 4 drink series and get a 10% discount for the 5th drink.

• We will also give loyalty cards to our customers “buy 2 cups of fruit beer/yakult

series/cocktail series to get 1 stamp”. After completing 6 stamps, you can enjoy a cup of

fruit beer/yakult series/cocktail series for free!

• Lastly, we also make coupons available on foodpanda, minimum of 4 drinks for a

free drink.

Advertising Strategies:

Different strategies will be used to promote and grow the business. Given that the

launch of the business is at a time where technology is utilized, Twist-tea will make good

use of social media to emphasize the ease and benefits of E-commerce. Posters and

tarpaulins will also be placed on freedom park. Flyers will also be one of the Twist-tea's

tools to reach more customers.

The products are expected to undergo further development even after opening to

ensure that the business can offer products better than the current menu. New products may

also be introduced once the company have reached the state of ROI (Return of Investment).

A. FORM OF OWNERSHIP

Twist- tea is business ownership became a partnership since the shareholders

decided to use the product for their requirement. It is a general partnership of seven

(7) people namely: Ma. Joanna Agustin, Cazandra Bumanlag, Mary Ann Corpuz,

Dominick Flores, Andrea Lamar, Aicie Pacheco and Arjay Solis. This Twist-Tea is

known to be a middle- class business wherein the co-owners will manage, operate

and share business profits equally.
