The Love of Parents

It was Sunday, and Ranbir was in his room, devouring his breakfast
with a sad face. His parents beat him the other day for breaking the
framed photo framed on the wall of the Mona Lisa. Since then he has
been very angry with his parents. He sometimes thought of leaving
his house and going away. He somehow finished his breakfast and
went to keep the bowl in the sink. The kitchen’s floor was elevated
and was easy to trip someone, so happened with Ranbir. His foot
tripped and fell hard on the ground, breaking his breakfast bowl.
Ranbir was badly hurt, his parents came running and found the
breakfast bowl broken. Ranbir still winced with pain, and he was
even more frightened because he smashed the glass bowl. His
parents were infuriated and told him about the loss they incurred. It
was pathetic for Ranbir. After his lecture, he went straight to the
main door and went out, to leave his house and parents. He was still
crying and trying to forget about the accident but it was too horrible
for him. He was limping and found a bench near the bus stop where
he rested. On the other hand, his parents having no knowledge
about Ranbir leaving went to terrace to search him. Ranbir stopped
sobbing and closed his eyes. He slept. It was evening when he woke
up and found himself lonely at the bus stop. Meanwhile, his parents
were now worried. They checked upstairs and found no one. Ranbir
was starving and he had no money. He stood up and walked in
search of food. He saw a tea stall from a distance. Suddenly he
thought of returning home. He was starving and couldn’t think for
too long. So, he ran towards his house, still feeling the pain in his
legs. He reached home and went straight inside. He entered and saw
his worried parents. They were asking people about him. His mother
saw him and pointed to him. His parents came hurriedly towards
him, and he ran towards them. He hugged them and felt
comfortable. They asked about him and they had a volley of
questions for him. He was feeling ecstatic. They took him along with
them. Ranbir was happier and finally understood the meaning of
being in a family. He understood that in this world, only a family can
understand a person and fulfil his needs. Even if one leaves your
house, it is the love of them which brings him back to his parents.
