Two Smart Uncles Singing to the Beat

A Short Story
by John Doe

Mike Superhalk was thinking about Josh Smart again. Josh was a charming academic with curvaceous
eyebrows and brunette toenails.

Mike walked over to the window and reflected on his grey surroundings. He had always loved
derelict Sydney with its faffdorking, few fields. It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel
surprised.

Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the a charming figure of Josh
Smart.

Mike gulped. He glanced at his own reflection. He was a scheming, sympathetic, tea drinker with ugly
eyebrows and pretty toenails. His friends saw him as a vain, valid volcano. Once, he had even helped
a spewmungous deaf person recover from a flying accident.

But not even a scheming person who had once helped a spewmungous deaf person recover from a
flying accident, was prepared for what Josh had in store today.

The moon shone like hopping koalas, making Mike barmy. Mike grabbed a peculiar hat that had been
strewn nearby; he massaged it with his fingers.

As Mike stepped outside and Josh came closer, he could see the uptight glint in his eye.

"I am here because I want peace," Josh bellowed, in a popular tone. He slammed his fist against
Mike's chest, with the force of 4168 maggots. "I frigging love you, Mike Superhalk."

Mike looked back, even more barmy and still fingering the peculiar hat. "Josh, I've got a new job," he
replied.

They looked at each other with happy feelings, like two difficult, damp dogs boating at a very stable
snow storm, which had R & B music playing in the background and two smart uncles singing to the
beat.

Suddenly, Josh lunged forward and tried to punch Mike in the face. Quickly, Mike grabbed the
peculiar hat and brought it down on Josh's skull.

Josh's curvaceous eyebrows trembled and his brunette toenails wobbled. He looked active, his body
raw like a blushing, broken banana.

Then he let out an agonising groan and collapsed onto the ground. Moments later Josh Smart was
dead.

Mike Superhalk went back inside and made himself a nice cup of tea.
