Early childhood education aims at holistic development of a child, in a
learning environment that is joyful, child centered and activity based. Materials have a significant role to play as they have a positive impact on a child to learn and explore the real world. We intend to weave their learning with a rich imagination in a joyful way. Different materials have the ability to open up unique and divergent learning pathways in young children. As we are moving on to our new EVS theme ‘Pitara’ which is going to be all about materials. Our children are going to explore different types of materials through various fun and creative engagements. Request you to send some of the following materials in a decorated cardboard box which will be their own ‘Pitara’ of materials. Material Required: ● Cardboard Box ● Newspaper ● Old picture books/Magazines ● Plastic bottles ● Cans ● Magnet ● Wool yarn ● Composites (made from two or more materials combined together) ● Toys (Make sure toys are not broken and are in good condition just to ensure child's safety. Toys can be of different materials)
