Entrepreneurship requires that the entrepreneur is adept to the ways of the business world.

The
entrepreneur is an innovator in his merit. He innovates, designs, and promotes is products in a manner
that informs sales.

Entrepreneurship, design, and innovation are key aspects that drive any business to success. The ability
to redefine underlying predicaments and applying the best solution is key to the attraction and retention
of customers. Innovation follows a systematic approach whereby the business owner counters the
challenges faced by consumers through design thinking.

Design thinking is an innovative strategy and solution that when implemented can contribute to the
success of the business in the short term and in the long term. To be able to penetrate the market it is
essential that innovators implement design thinking into their business processes. Design thinking
implores the designer to find solutions to underlying problems. Seeking solutions requires that the
innovator is able to think out of the box and to take advantage of all the “light bulb moments that occur
to him/her.”

It is very important to ascertain, as a business owner and or innovator that the market influences a large
percentage of the decisions a business makes. The market defines the products such that the innovation
and design seek to cater to the needs of the consumer while at the same time aligning with the world’s
efforts to produce products that uphold environmental sustainability.

Customer needs are at the heart of every business venture. The innovation and branding strategies
implored must be such that they cater to the needs of the customer and fulfil the consumer’s wants.
Innovation is driven by market demand or market gaps in which demand ought to be and where it can
be created.

Branding is another crucial step for a business. A business owner should consider their brand in order to
ensure that there are enough resources to cater to the brand. Branding is subservient to design thinking.
The design thinking process works by breaking down the idea into smaller proportions in order to
influence the innovation in a manner that counters the problem from the root cause.

An entrepreneur must consider various factors in their product design. These include empathy, defining,
forming of ideas and approaches. Prototyping and testing. All these aspects are considered primary to
success where design and innovation is concerned. These factors may enable the entrepreneur to
identify target markets in order to plan adequately for the sustenance of the business in the short-term
and the long-term.
