Our week at a Glance...
This is such an exciting week for our class. It’s
field trip week! We will leave the school at
9:30 am Friday morning for departure to
Riverbanks Zoo and Garden. Before Friday,
students will engage in a variety of activities
to get excited for our trip. Monday and
Tuesday they will learn about some animal
fun facts through literature and games. On
Wednesday, they will write about their
favorite zoo animal. Then, Thursday we will
have an animal show and tell. Show and tell
items must be able to fit in their bookbag!

New Reading Incentive Program

Starting on October 1st, Lugoff
Elementary is launching a new reading
Upcoming Events: incentive program. The goal of the
Sept. 19- White T-shirts program is for students to engage in
reading and writing outside of the

classroom. Students are encouraged
Sept. 22- Tie Dye Day! to read four books per month and
complete a writing entry on each
Oct. 2- Reading Rocks
book. Entry forms will be given to the
Kick-off Rally student on the first of the month.
Completed entry forms must be given
to me by the end of the month. More
information on incentives,
requirements, and entry forms will be
sent home with the student the week
prior to program start up.
