I will never forget the first time that I got my dog.

When I was young, I begged my parents for a

dog, and after much pleading, we finally went to the local animal shelter and I saw a dog with a
squishy face. At that time, I knew instantly that this was the dog for me, and my love for Shih
Tzu began from then on because the the dog that i brought was shih tzu. So, Today, we are
going to explore the fascinating world of Shih Tzu. And I hope that by the end of the
presentation, you will know more about Shih Tzu and you will be fascinated by its cuteness.
There are 3 main points that I’m going to present today. For my first point, I will talk about the
origin of Shih tzu. Then, my second point is about its physical appearance and personality. And
the last point that I will present today is the population of Shih Tzu.

Now Let me begin with my first point.

I will talk about the origin of Shih Tzu

The origin of the Shih Tzu can be traced back to ancient China. It was developed by
crossbreeding toy breeds to create a small, sturdy dog with a lion-like appearance. And It was
highly valued in China because it was often given as gifts to royalty. Then, The breed was
introduced to the Western world in the 20th century and quickly gained popularity as a pet.

Now moving to the second point. I will explain about the physical appearance and personality of
Shih Tzu.

The Shih Tzu is known for its distinctive appearance and charming personality. its long, flowing
coat and flat, wrinkled face are recognizable features. And about its personality, it is friendly with
people, especially children. Moreover, It is intelligent because it has the ability to learn and
understand commands and routines. However, it can be stubborn during training. For example,
a Shih Tzu may resist leash training or housebreaking, so this may require more patience and
persistence from the owners during the training process.

Now let's move to the last point, I will tell you about the population of Shih Tzu

The Shih Tzu population has been steadily growing due to the adorable appearance,
affectionate personality, and easy-going nature. Moreover, They are a small breed, so it is easy
for owners to bring them to travel. And due to their size, they are suitable for apartment living as
well because it is easy to take care of. Because of these reasons, they remain a beloved breed
among dog lovers worldwide.

Now, let’s look at the graph which shows the population of Shih Tzu in Thailand. Starting from
2018, the number of Shih Tzu was twenty two thousand (22000). Then, there was a dramatic
decrease to sixteen thousand (16000) in 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. So, people may
not want to spend money with pets. After that, the number of Shih Tzu rose significantly to
twenty five thousand (25000) in 2022.
Alright, this brings me to the end of my presentation. Firstly, I have spoken about the origin of
Shih tzu, Secondly I have talked about its physical appearance and personality. Lastly, I have
explained about the population of Shih Tzu. Last but not least, If you want to have a new
