concepts, or ideas.

Voice modulation is the practice of varying the pitch, tone, and volume of the voice during a speech.

• Pitch Variation: Changing the pitch (high or low tones) adds expressiveness. High pitches can convey
excitement or urgency, while lower pitches can denote seriousness or authority.

• Tone and Inflection: Varying the tone and inflection to avoid a monotonous delivery. Inflection helps
convey emotions and keeps the audience engaged.

• Pauses: Pauses can add impact, allow the audience to absorb information, and build anticipation.

• Volume Control: Adjusting volume can draw attention to specific points or convey emotions. Speaking
softly can create intimacy, while speaking loudly can command attention.
