2022 NEO: Training on Local Legislation and Administrative Investigation for

REPORT SUMMARY
I. OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY:
The NEO program is a pioneering initiative of the Department which aims to prepare the newly-
elected local officials for their duties and responsibilities as leaders and make them development-
oriented local officials who are able to promote local economic development and translate it into a
term-based development roadmap correlated with the realization of national development goals.

II. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY:

 DILG Southern Leyte as the lead agency in the implementation of the LLA, spearheads the
series of onsite validation conducted for the seven (7) Sanggunians: Liloan, San Juan,
Libagon, Sogod, Padre Burgos, Macrohon, and Maasin City. Joining PD Danilo Laguitan as the
PAC Chairperson are representatives from the PAC TWG: CH Estela Creer as head of the PAC-
TWG, PM Jhonel Anavesa as representative of the VMLP, LGOO V Godece Lamoste as
representative of the PCL, LGOO II Dianne Wenceslao, LGOO II Nikon De Veyra, and LGOO II
Djan Bunao as representatives of the DILG and the PCCI, together with representatives of the
various offices the PSWDO, the PENRMO, the PAGSO, and the PBO.
 The results of these series of onsite validation will verify the submitted MOVs and will be the
source for the score of the official nominees at the provincial level.
