field staff shown as office staff – requesting to correct the mistake and
re-issue certain orders – reg.

It is to submit that, as per the reference 1 st read above, Finance Department issued
guidelines to submit the human resource for allocation of provisional allocation of posts &
personal in the restricted district / division Offices. In the reference 3rd read above, Director
of Public Health and Family Welfare issued instructions upon district restructuring by
provisional allocation of the posts and personnel in the district offices as per provisional
allotment statement issued by the Finance Department in the reference 2nd read above.

Again we submit that, the cadre strength of the District Malaria Office staff was
submitted to the DPH&FW and District Medical and Health Officer on 15th March, enclosed
here in Annexure–1. Finance department issued provisional allocation of Office staff in
reference 2nd read above, in the said Govt. Orders 45 Field Functionaries (MPHA(M) are
shown as Office Staff in the O/o DMO, Krishna and provisionally allocated the proportionate
number to all 3 districts.

Vijayawada is the high incident Malaria for the last 5 decades, National Anti Malaria
Program (NAMP) was launched in Vijayawada (6.5 Lakh Population) town with 65 field staff
and 23 supervisory staff and 3 Sub Unit Officers and one Assistant Malaria Officer. Now the
Vector Control activities are being implemented under NVBDCP with 6 (Six) Sub-Units to
cover the 11 Lakh population of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. Each Sub-Unit is
responsible to identify, examine and treating the Malaria cases and Vector Borne Diseases
Control activities as per the guidelines of the NVBDCP with SUO, MPHS (M) and MPHA (M)
but unfortunately NVBDCP operations with only 50% of field staff.

We are requesting our benign Collector and Firstclass Magistrate, in view of the
malaria situation in Vijayawada town review the provisional allocation of Field Functionaries
(MPHA-M) working in Vijayawada town. Re-allocate all 45 (Forty Five) Field Functionaries of
Urban Malaria Scheme of NVBDCP to Vijayawada. i.e. O/o DMO, NTR District at Vijayawada
for smooth and effective functioning of Malaria control activities and Vector Borne Diseases
Control activities in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. O/o. DMO, Machilipatnam existing
staff position is enclosed for your perusal and suitable action.
