Medical Escalation Procedure


First Aid Provider(s): Male scene safe and provide first aid until EMS
arrives to IP.
On-site Security:
- Within 15 minutes, notify Security Control Room of an injury
requiring EMS and share basic facts;
- Notify Colo operator of an injury requiring EMS; share basic facts (if
applicable);
- Perform normally assigned duties (e.g., support first aid provider(s),
First Aid Provider(s): coordinate EMS access, manage door alarms, etc.); and
Make scene safe and provide first aid to IP (as - Restrict access to area where injury occurred, and equipment / tools
needed) involved in the incident.
IP or reporting person (or team member):
Within 1 hour, report injury to injured person’s
manager and health and safety POC.
SOC: Within 15 minutes, notify IP’s Manager, DCHS and Cluster
Manager and share basic facts surrounding the incident

HS POC and IP’s manager:


- Within 1 business day, visit site where
incident occurred; HS and IP’s Manager
