3rd QUARTER NSED REPORT

The Third Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)

conducted last September 7, 2023 in Coral na Munti National High School quadrangle
by the faculty ,staff and students. This activity is inline with the campaign of Department
of Education (DepEd) to equip the school, teachers and students with knowledge and
skills on what to do in case of natural and man-made disasters like earthquake that may
happen in our area, in times that we do not anticipate.
The School DRRM Coordinator together with the faculty led the activity.
The drill was carried smoothly. All grade levels occupied the designated areas assigned
to them and as stated in their evacuation plan.
Before the conduct of the earthquake drill, the School DRRM Coordinator
instructed all the teachers to follow the necessary tasks in conducting the activity such
as to do duck, cover, and to hold. The leader in assigned grade levels had secured the
area for the students before they went out from their classroom and went directly to the
assigned areas for them. They covered their heads while walking briskly. Then the
adviser/teacher did a head count to make sure that all students are complete. Teachers
assigned to discuss the importance of readiness in times of disaster and why such
activity must be done in school.
The activity successfully done through the collaborative efforts Coral na
Munti National High School teachers and staff, students headed by the school head and
DRRM Coordinator.
