How to Use Parts List

1. Before using this parts list

Use this parts list for checking the part number or the description only
Pay attention to avoid electric shock, burn or injury.
WARNING Do not replace the parts even though the disassembled parts are illustrated in the parts list.
Be sure to ask the service personnel for replacing the parts.
Before ordering the parts, carefully read the explanations below to avoid the wrong orders.
● Please understand that the parts in this list and the actual parts may differ depending on the machine specification.
● This parts list subjects to change without notice.

2. Specifying the parts before ordering

Please make following items clear when ordering the parts. Rating plate (e.g.) Model

◎How to check the model

It is described on the rating plate affixed on the main body of the machine.
◎How to check the Serial No.
It is described on the rating plate affixed on the main bodyof the machine.
However, some units and options have Serial Nos. of their own.
The labels that indicate those Serial Nos. are affixed directly
on each unit.
*Serial No. is the unique number to distinguish the machine, the unit
and the option. It consists of the Model code No. and the product No..

If the Part List differs depending on serial No., search the supporting pages with following ways.
-eDrawings format
The serial No. selection display appears after selecting the unit you want to check on INDEX.
(It shows that there is a page supporting the previous serial No.)
Click the "Page of illustration" and "Page of list" button of desired serial No. to show the supporting
pages.
-PDF
If table of the serial No. at the upper-right corner of the illustration is outlined in yellow, it shows that
there is a page corresponding to the previous serial No. Click to display appropriate page.

3. For details of eDrawings parts list

(e.g.) ILLUSTRATION
1. Confirm the display setting.

When the viewer software is installed, "shadow" is displayed for the illustrations as default.
Cancel this setting.

Note: For details about each function of the eDrawings, refer to the HELP of eDrawings.

Select "Tools" , "Options" and "General" in this order from the tool bar, and remove the check mark
from "Display shadow".

However, this setting may vary depending on the version of the viewer software.

Parts No. + Parts name in English

A123456-01 SPRING -1
This parts No. is used when you order the parts. The
numbers or characters other than the parts No. are
not necessary.

(e.g.) ILLUSTRATION

Descriptions other than the parts No. are as follows;

･Refer to ***._***参照 -1
…*** shows the reference page.

･The parts cannot be replaced._交換不可部品 -1

…This means the parts cannot be replaced.

4-1. Explanation of illustration

4-2. Explanation of cable table

several cables.

The wire length is shown for the wires of

the same wire number.

・The cables can be found with their wire number or connector number in the cable table.
・This table includes the cable assembly, the SCSI cable, the ground wire, the Starter jumper and the optical fiber cable.
・Check the connector number or the wire number of the cable to be ordered, then find out the parts number via the numbers.
5. How to search the parts

5-1. How to search the part No.

If you know the figure of the parts, you can search the part No. or description following the procedures below.

1. Select the model.

Click the model name on MainMenu.
The INDEX display appears.

2. Select the units.

Click preview of the unit on INDEX.
-For eDrawings format, confirmation message appears.
Click YES.
-For PDF, illustrations are displayed.

If you directly browse the part No. page and description page, click the unit title of bookmark.

3.Search the part No.

There are two types of illustration data for units.
Confirm the part No. on each page following the procedure below.

-eDrawings format
On the view menu, click UI mode. Confirm that the check box of "complete" is checked,
or click at the left side of the screen.

The operation above varies depending on the version of the software.

eDrawings PDF On the tool menu, click select button.

Put the pointer on the desired part. The part No. is displayed.

If the part is hidden in other parts, click "Move component" button to move the parts.

5-2-1. How to confirm the figure of the part
If you know the part No., you can confirm the figure of the part following the procedures below.

1. Select the model.

Click the model name on MainMenu.
The INDEX display appears.

2.Search the part No.

On the edit menu, click Find mode.

Enter the part No.

Illustration or description list appears.

If View illustration button is displayed in the description list, click it.

Confirmation message appears. Click YES.

3.Confirem the figure of the part.

There are two types of illustration data for units.
Confirm the part No. on each page following the procedure below.

-eDrawings format
On the view menu, click UI mode. Confirm that the check box of "complete" is checked,
or click at the left side of the screen.

The operation above varies depending on the version of the software.

In eDrawings format, you can confirm the figure in two ways.

eDrawings PDF Procedure 1

Right-click the part No. in the list and select "hide others".
The corresponding part is displayed.

Procedure 2-1
Click the part No. in the list (bookmark).
The color of the corresponding part changes.
If it is difficult to distinguish the part by its color, confirm the part by other method.
You can also confirm the part by changing the highlight color of "Options" in "Tools".

If the part is hidden in other parts, click "Move component" button to move the parts.

5-2-2. How to confirm the figure of the part

Procedure 2-2

If it is still difficult to distinguish the color even though the highlight color is changed,
click (shaded) to change the illustration to the line drawing.

Click the part No. in the list (bookmark).

The color of the corresponding part changes.
5-2-3. How to confirm the figure of the part

Procedure 2-3

Click (Disassembly/Assembly) to show the parts when confirming the figure of the

part contained in the unit.

For details, see Procedure 2-1.

Click (Home) to assemble the disassembled unit.

Icon display may vary depending on the version of the software.
