Project Proposal on “Education support for160 Poor Rural School Going

Children” in Kadamalaikundu-Mayiladumparai block of Theni District,

Tamilnadu, India.”
Project Summary

We are working in western gates hilly area in southern part of Tamilnadu state,
India and the people are very poor and living in remote without fundamental
facility, they need support for their children education. The proposed project is
planning to implement in 52 villages in Kadamalaikundu-Mayiladumparai rural
block of Theni District, Tamilnadu, India. The school going children need Cloth,
School bag, Books and Notebooks, Writing materials for their studies. The rural
poor students are coming from agriculture daily wage family, the family income is
not enough for their daily bread. They can not buy the study material for their
children, in this situation create not good education to children and they don’t
attend regular classes in school because of they have no basic facilities for studies,
So, we are plan to support these school going children for their good studies.

Beneficiaries Selection criteria: y complex

 School going children age group from 6 to 15 year old

 Coming from poor family and destitute mother’s children, children without
father or mother or both

Target people:

74 Girls and 86 boys Totally 160 Rural Poor School going children in 7 schools
from 52 remote hilly villages in Kadamalaikundu- Mayiladumpari rural block of
Theni District, Tamilnadu, India.

Activities carried out:

 To distribute School bags for 160 rural poor School going children
 To distribute cloth (uniform) for 160 school going children
 To distribute writing and reading materials for 160 school going children
 160 school going children make them to go to school very perfect and good
study. Through follow up.

Outcome of the Project:

 160 children are happy to go to school because they now felt equal to all.
 160 poor children are got support for their good studies and perfect.
 160 children family members are satisfied to their children school system.
 160 children are going school regular
Duration of the Project:

3 months (from Sep 2011 to Nov. 2011)

Budget

(School Bag, Note books, Books, Guide , Writing materials and 2 set of uniform
with shoes for Children )

$ 55 per child x 160 children = $8800
