WORK EXPERIENCE

Kitchen Assistant (University of Otago, at UniCol): February/2023 - November/2023


Assisted Chefs in cooking breakfasts, lunches and dinners for over 400 students in the
largest kitchen among all Student Colleges in Dunedin, whilst studying full-time as a first-
year student at Otago Polytechnic. Washed dishes using industrial grade chemicals and
large heavy machinery and served students food, maintaining a high standard of food health
& safety following company standards.

Cherry Picking (Pure Pac - Cromwell): December/2021 - January/2022


Spent school summer holidays in Cromwell diligently picking cherries at a multitude of
orchards full time with early starts. Quality-checked cherries following Pure Pac’s standards
and was safety conscious climbing ladders and handling large cherry containers.

General Steel-Frame Factory Work (Steel-it Ltd - Paraparaumu) (July/2021 -


August/2021)
Spent my school term break working at Steel-It, a small factory which produces custom
steel-frame and “R-Boards” (insulation) for apartments and other buildings. I gained
experience with hands-on labour as well as working with heavy and dangerous machinery
and construction materials. I fabricated large steel frames and insulation boards following

This job required me to scan, sort and deliver parcels to doors.
Learned how to use scanning technology, organising and moving large quantities of items in
a time-sensitive manner.
