Village King Nasi Lemak

If you love nasi lemak as I do, you would have heard of Village King Nasi Lemak. The location
of this restaurant is on Jalan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur. It is a coffee-shop designed like a premise with many

windows. \ (35) \ \ It is· clean too.

I caught a strong whiff of fragrant rice the moment I entered the restaurant. \ (36) \
I noticed that the waiters were quick in taking down orders. Since it was my first visit
to the restaurant, I asked the waiter for his suggestions. He suggested spicy squid
nasi lemak.
My order arrived within five minutes. At first, I thought it was just my waiter who was efficient.

I I
(37)
My mouth immediately began to water when the waiter placed a plate of spicy squid nasi lemak
in front of me.\ (38) \ \ It was filled with some pieces of spicy squids, fried peanuts, anchovies, a few
slices of cucumber and some samba! served around the rice.
I tried the samba! with some rice first. It was spicy but was not sweet or oily. Next, I tried
some pieces of spicy squids with rice. \ (39) \ \ The peanuts were crunchy and the fried anchovies were
neither salty nor oily.
Overall, the entire dish was very delicious. I prefer the samba! more than the squids.\ (40)
\ I would come back here again. Next time, I will only order a plate of plain nasi lemak.
. .
A The rice was served in a large plate.
B It was so good that I ordered another.
C Therefore, it was bright and airy.
D The portion served was generous.
E But, I noticed that the rest too provided fast service.
F The squid was tender and thankfully not tough.
G The samba! is one of the best I have tried.
H A waiter came to get my order as soon as I sat down.

How Teenagers Can Earn Extra Money
It is never too early to save! But if you feel you do not have enough pocket money to save and spend,
you can either spend less or earn extra. The following are simple jobs you can do to earn extra money.
Babysitting for your family, friends and neighbours is one possible option to earn some money. If you
are a responsible person and like children, of course, this is a suitable part-time job for you. If you have never
done babysitting before, you can offer to help out when one parent or an adult is at home. You should
also know some basic first-aid procedures. Potential clients will be more confident to let you babysit their
child if they know you have some prior babysitting experience and know what to do in an emergency
situation.
Doing gardening is another part-time job that you can try. It may be a heavy work but you do not need
any experience. Many parents are too engaged to spend their time on gardening. However, they still want a
clean garden. Inform your neighbours or post a notice on the community noticeboard to offer your gardening
service. You can rake leaves, trim bushes or cut the grass for a fee. If the work is too heavy for one
person, consider teaming up with a friend or a cousin. Share the work and the proceeds.
Another part-time job to do is to help your elderly neighbours with errands. If there are elderly
neighbours who need help, talk to them about how you can help them. Make sure you tell them that it is a
paid service. Some of the work you can offer to do are buying groceries, gardening, moving furniture or fixing
computer problems.
One other suitable part-time job is to be a tutor. If you are a smart student, you can tutor
younger children. Tutoring is not limited to academic subjects only. If you are talented in playing a musical
instrument, consider giving music lessons.
You probably already have household chores to do. But why don't you ask your parents if you can
take on more chores for a reasonable fee? If your parents usually send their cars to a car wash, ask them to let
you do it for RMlO. If the fee is too high, try to negotiate with them. Once your parents see what a good job
you have done, you can ask for a higher fee.
If you are an animal lover, caring for pets is another way to earn extra money. Tell your family, friends
and neighbours that you are available to look after their pets when they are away on holidays. Sending pets to
a pet boarding can be very expensive. You can offer an attractive one-off fee to entice more customers to let
them leave their pets under your care.

Sweet Dough Bakery
Sweet Dough Bakery has been in operation since 2012. The owner cum baker is Daisy Lim. Daisy
is a trained pastry chef. She decided to open her bakery after working in many restaurants and hotels
for several years.
Daisy enjoys working as early as 5 a.m. She likes to prepare her ingredients and start baking in a
quiet environment. During that time, She loves trying new recipes too. Sweet Dough Bakery is a small
shop, so it does not have tables and chairs. There are only a countertop and a few stools. She makes cakes,
cupcakes, glazed doughnuts, Danish pastries, muffins and pies. The only drink she serves is coffee.
Daisy has an assistant baker to help her and two waitresses cum cashiers. The bakery is open every
day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. except on Tuesdays.
In January 2019, Daisy visited Italy. She went there to learn some Italian desserts. She spent a few
weeks visiting bakeries, tasting popular desserts and learning how to make them. She tried various desserts
and pastries. Among them, she loved two desserts the most which are cannoli and panna cotta. After she
returned home, she decided to add them in her menu.
Cannoli is a Sicilian pastry dessert. It consists of a tube-shaped shell of fried pastry dough filled
with a sweet creamy filling. Panna cotta is a dessert made from sweetened thickened cream. The cream
has a coffee flavour. Daisy tried panna cotta garnished with chocolate, caramel and a thick fruit sauce
while in Italy. She liked it best with caramel. Her two new desserts have been a hit among customers since
she started serving them in March 2019.
