But what catapulted the trend to the mainstream, beyond fans of these two,
was a viral tweet by @Honey_beigr, who tweeted on Monday that she’s gained
much personal wealth since using the photo. The tweet has been retweeted more
than 13,000 times.

The State Railway of Thailand said on Tuesday the derailment of train No.255,
5 en route from Thon Buri to Lang Suan station in Chumphon province, was caused
by missing screws and plates used to fasten the rails to the sleepers.
Six carriages of the train jumped the tracks about noon on Monday between
Huay Sai Tai station and Hua Hin station. There were no injuries reported. Rail

Owner Supachai Padsri was taken into police custody for colluding in theft
and receiving stolen items.

The investors need to exchange real currency to trade into “coins” or “tokens” of a given
cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is the world’s most famous cryptocurrency. All sorts of big
technology and finance companies wants to be in cryptocurrency market, even Facebook
5 has created its own cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency market feels like a modern-day gold
rush, but it has actually been around for about a decade. The earliest was Bitcoin, created
in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto.
Cryptocurrencies are trade from person to person online without a middleman,
and also there is no marshal to uphold the law. The traders don’t need to go to the bank
10 for a formal transaction at all, since cryptocurrencies have already decentralized,
meaning that no government or bank can monitor how they are produced, what their value
is, or how they are exchanged. As a result, cryptocurrencies are worth up to people are
willing to pay or exchange for them.
Cryptocurrencies are stored in a digital wallet, usually in an app or a purchased

to digitally sign off on purchases, for proving that the exchange is legit. Cryptocurrencies
operate on blockchain technology, a public record of all transactions that have ever

As humans have spread across the world, so have infectious diseases. In this
modern era, outbreaks are nearly constant, though not every pandemic reaches the
COVID-19 level.
Disease and illnesses have plagued humanity since the earliest days. However,
5 it was not until the marked shift to communities that the spread of these diseases
increased dramatically. Widespread trade created new opportunities for human and
animal interactions that sped up such epidemics. Malaria, tuberculosis, leprosy,
influenza, smallpox, and others first appeared during these early years. The more
civilized humans became, the more likely pandemics would occur. Despite the
10 persistence of disease and pandemics throughout history, a gradual reduction in the
death rate is the only one consistent trend over time, thanks to healthcare improvements.
In many ancient cultures, people believed that spirits and gods inflicted disease
and destruction upon those that deserved their wrath. Luckily, humanity’s
understanding of the causes of disease has improved, and this is resulting in a drastic
15 improvement in the response to modern pandemics.
The practice of quarantine began during the 14th century, in an effort to protect
coastal cities from plague epidemics. The origin of the word quarantine from the Italian
“quaranta giorni”, or 40 days. Ships arriving in Venice from infected ports were
required to sit at anchor for 40 days before landing. One of the first instances of relying
20 on geography and statistical analysis was in 1854, when Dr. John Snow came to the
conclusion that cholera was spreading via tainted water and decided to display mortality
data directly on a map. This method revealed a cluster of cases around a specific water
pump from which people were drawing their water for.
Scientists use a basic measure to track the infectiousness of a disease called the
25 reproduction number. This number tells us how many susceptible people, on average,
each sick person will in turn infect. Measles tops the list, being the most contagious
with a reproduction number range of 12-18. This means a single person can infect, on
average, 12 to 18 people in an unvaccinated population. Anyways, the more people are
immune to a disease, the less likely it is to proliferate, making vaccinations critical to
30 prevent the resurgence of known and treatable diseases.
Urbanization in the developing world is bringing more and more rural residents
into denser neighborhoods, while population increases are putting greater pressure on
the environment. At the same time, passenger air traffic nearly doubled in the past
decade. These macro trends are having a profound impact on the spread of infectious
35 disease. As organizations and governments around the world ask for citizens to practice
social distancing to help reduce the rate of infection, the digital world is allowing people
