Attention to: Administrative Appeals Tribunal

Migration and Refugee Division

Response to Invitation to Comment on or Response to Information – Mr Vitalis Yosep S Doy.

Thank you for the opportunity to provide more information regarding my current
application at Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Based on the statement provided by Administrative Appeals Tribunal, most of the

information outlined are correct. However, I would like to address some points on this letter
for you to consider:
 When I enrolled Diploma of Information Technology at Australian Institute of
Commerce and Language (AICL) I paid all of the tuition fees. Hence the claim for unpaid
tuition fees is incorrect.
 I completed Certificate III in Information and Technology at AICL, however I’m unable to
obtain the certificate / completion letter as this institution has been closed for years.
 In additions to the study gaps on my study history, I was informed that student visa
holders are able to have 2-3 months study break when they completed each course.
 In April 2014 my enrolments in Marketing courses at Macquarie Institute was cancelled
due to changing of course to Business courses at the same institution.
 I was suffering emotionally since 2015 when I first knew my mother was diagnosed with
several health issues including stroke, lung inflammation, and many more. Additionally
in Sept 2015 i got into an accident where i was admitted to the hospital for surgery. I
also had to travel to Indonesia for medical treatment. This event also highly affected me
negatively.
My mother’s condition gotten worse, and I went to Indonesia a few times to visit her in
hospital. She was admitted to the hospital frequently.
It affected my well-being as I was in Australia by myself, while my father and sister
looked after my mother in hospital. It was unclear at that time if my mother would be
able to survive. This situation was highly affected my performance at school, and I
couldn’t attend or pass the subjects. It continued until 22nd November 2019 when my
mother passed away. It was the hardest time in my life, and I felt down.
Seemed it wasn’t enough, since my mother passed away, my father also was diagnosed
with another deadly disease. And he passed away in December 2022 from Tuberculosis.
My life hasn’t been easy, and I still have a sister to look after. These series of events
really affected my life, and my well-being while I’m in Australia. I apologise however it
might be too late to do so.
On this letter I also attached:
My parents’ death certificates and my previous study certificates in Australia, my
medical certificates in Australia and in Indonesia and payment record paid to AICL
through my education agency.

I hope this statement is sufficient to provide you with more details needed to finalise my
application.
Thank you.

Kind Regards,
Vitalis Yosep S Doy
