It is so much different being a kid and a college student. As a kid, playing is what gives us entertainment. As an adult. now we need to be independent.
In high school, we couldn’t care less about grades.
In college, you do your best but still end up a low grades. Everyday, there’s a dagger piercing my insides. Trying to understand the lessons in a short amount of times.
In lecture halls and classrooms, I found my voice,
Engaging in discussions, making my choice. To speak up, to share my thoughts and beliefs. To challenge perspectives, to seek intellectual relief.
But the college experience was more than just words,
It was collaboration, connection, like a flock of birds. In group projects, we learned the art of cooperation, Navigating differences, finding common ground in elation.
In college, public speaking is a must.
Along our journey in communication we trust. Being ethical is taught to us. Step by step we are learning from what we discuss. College taught me that communication is an art. A dance of words, a language of the heart. It’s about expressing oneself, but also listening with intent. To value diverse perspectives, to foster an environment that’s meant.
To cultivate growth, to inspire change,
To embrace dialogue, even when it feels strange, For in the realm of college, we shape our minds. Through the power of communication, a treasure that binds.
But it wasn’t just about the sights we’d see.
It was the sacrifices we made, you and me. So let us celebrate the college experience, the triumphs, the struggles, the shared existence.
