THE COMPANY

 EK90M MULTIPURPOSE
The CZM EK90M is a model designed to be a “Multifunctional Drill
Rig” mounted on a CAT® 320 excavator base.
It can work for applications of Micropiles, Jet Grouting, Segmented
Flight Auger, Interlocking Kelly Bar and Tiebacks.
It is designed in a way that the conversion between these
applications is simple. No major changes of hoses are necessary
and it can be done in just a few hours.
For some applications it is equipped with a double tool feeder, one
on each side of the main mast. This allows drilling and extracting
casings or augers without manhandling.
These versions are also equipped with radio remote control to a
fast and safe operation.
Operation can be done either from the remote control or the
cabin.
The Parallelogram, the Mast Vertical Slide and the Rotary Shift
Slide are great features, usefull for different processes of drilling
operations.

APPLICATION ADVANTAGES
Comparison of EK90M Kelly Bar version with an Excavator
Attachment.

• EK90M can drill rock with Interlocking Kelly Bars.

Attachments use friction Kelly Bars, and are very limited
when drilling in hard soil conditions.
• Although EK90M does not have the same reach, it still
has a considerable amount of reach upward and forward. The
parallelogram makes it possible, but only when necessary.
Normally a reach enough for most operations. In fact, the big
reach of an Excavator Attachment is a problem operating in
small spaces.
Not being able to reduce the reach, the attachment needs a
lot of room to swing. This is often inconvenient and makes
operation impossible in small spaces or tight access jobs.
• EK90M Short Mast Version is much more a tight
access / low head room rig, than an Excavator Attachment is.
• EK90M uses the same hydraulic power as an attachment of
the same torque range, although using a lighter excavator base.
The heavy attachments are not able to use all the hydraulic
power available in the excavator.
• In opposition to an attachment, EK90M can put full down
crowd into the tool, without any issues on verticality or the Kelly Bar.
• Due to less weight and more rational dimensions EK90M
is easier to transport.
• Attachments are very limited in applications when
compared to EK90M.
