 Objectives

 Background

Aside from providing learners with disabilities proper

techniquesand strategies in inclusive education, support sevices
are crucial as well. Among the support sevices typicially
provided students with disabilities are educational
accomodation to support performance in reading, writing, time
management, and completing exam
 Psychosocial treatment in order to help students with
emotional and behavioral difficulties is given as well. Among
these services are: cognitive behavior therapy, individual
counseling, stress reduction strategies, anger management,
self-care promotion.
In a study of DuPaul and colleagues (2017), the effectiveness of
various support services on academic performance of college
students with learning disabilities and ADHD was examined.
Specifically they look at three kinds of support services:
 TUTORING
the students were given an opportunity to avail of
an individual or small group tutoring services on-as
needed basis the tutoring services provided
customized sessions intended to help students with
writing, organization, reading, notetaking,
preparation for tests, content-specific tutoring and
other related topics.
 Coaching

a form of development in which an

experienced person, called a coach,
supports a learner or client in
achieving a specific personal or
professional goal by providing
training and guidance.
 ACADEMIC
ADVISING
the students were invited to attend weekly
academic advising woth their assign advisor. During
the academic meeting, the students we're expected
to reflect on their academic progress since their
previous meeting. The role of the advisors is to
assist students with their future goals and help
them access additional supports.
 Importance
The effect of these support services on students grade
point average (GPA) was investigated in order to find out
whether students with disabilities and ADHD would benefit
most through services such as advising, coaching, and
tutoring. And this also provide individualized counseling for
personal, career, and academic information, activities, and
instruction designed to acquaint students with career
options.
