When the lights go on. We at Dexter believe that
the magic of great lighting sparks wonderment
and inspiration. It creates the perfect atmosphere

ON!
and ambiance. It brings people together and
offers freedom, relaxation or simply focus.

Perfectly designed fittings and fixtures produce the

ultimate light experience. It was exactly this challenge
that inspired the establishment of Dexter in 2002. And it
remains the starting point for founders Bas Duterloo and
Peter Tan when testing newly designed lighting today.
Dexter represents quality and craftsmanship. Successful
landscapers, architects and designers recognise this
quality. Whether it comes to realising projects for small
and large outdoor spaces, gardens and terraces, offices
or for the retail and hospitality industries, it is important
that everything comes together.

That takes time, energy and care, and requires

knowledge, experience and perseverance. At times,
this can be a real test. Dexter understands this.

OUR WAY OF WORKING

INNOVATIVE Dexter designs, develops and produces all of its fixtures

in its own workshop. It was a conscious decision to locate
our workshop in the bustling city of Rotterdam. This city
is constantly in motion, just like us. The focus is on new

is known for its courage, perseverance and drive. And that

Studio Truly Truly —

The wish for a new terrace lamp in the
collection had been there for some time.
We were looking for a fixture for use
with a spacious garden table of 8 people,
suitable for both private gardens and
terraces for commercial use.

For the fulfillment of our wish we started

the collaboration with Studio Truly Truly,
a Rotterdam based design studio with
experience in both lighting and furniture
design. They designed the Valencia, a
stylish terrace lamp, inspired by natural
elements, executed in a stylish green
shade. In this luminaire they employ
color, pattern and texture in new and
thoughtful ways.

Rainer Mutsch —
We have long been fascinated by fibre
cement from Eternit (Schweiz) AG. Fiber
cement is regularly used for wall cladding, Liv —
outdoor furniture and planters. A chance

meeting with the designer of one of these
furniture pieces, Rainer Mutsch, initiated an
inspiring collaboration. This led to the design
of the Liv series. The material in this series

provides both an architectural look and a
natural look through the smooth curved lines.
This makes the Liv a luminaire that is widely
applicable in both a private environment and
in commercial projects.

Michiel Cornelissen —

This fixture is widely applicable as a

wall lamp, ceiling lamp and possibly with
a post as a bollard. The design of this
adjustable lamp is by Michiel Cornelissen,
an industrial designer who always looks
for an element of innovation and surprise
in his designs. His concept surprised us
by the combination of extreme simplicity
with a unique character. This beautiful
lamp is functionally applicable in all
requested applications.

The material, colors and surface treatments
are carefully selected and applied for each
model to obtain the quality that outdoor
lighting requires. Dexter luminaires are
available in either stainless steel, anodised
aluminium or powder coated aluminium.

POWDER COATED ALUMINIUM
Pre treatment of the aluminium parts is
essential to obtain an endurable protection.
All powder coated part are pretreated with
a 7 baths series. For its excellent weathering
