:ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

I would like to express my special thanks

of gratitude to my teacher Mr,KUNAL
CHAKRABARTY, who gave me the
opportunity to do this wonderful project
of “”. Who also helped me to completing my
project. Secondly I would also like to thank my
classmate who help me a lot in completing my
project. I came to know about so many things so,
I am really thankful to them.
PUMPS

 1.INTRODUCTION
A pump is a device that moves fluids (liquids or gases), or
sometimes slurries, by mechanical action, typically
converted from electrical energy into hydraulic energy.
2.DEFINATION
The pump delivers the flow by converting energy of a
prime mover (an electric motor or turbine) first into
velocity or kinetic energy and then into pressure energy
of a fluid that is being pumped. The energy changes occur
by virtue of two main parts of the pump, the impeller and
the volute or diffuser.
