Fire is one of the natural disasters that occur in nature

and in human habitations.

A fire is defined as "an uncontrolled, spontaneously

developing combustion process, which is accompanied
by the destruction of material values and which creates
a danger to people's lives."

In another definition, "fire is a process of combustion,

which occurred involuntarily or with malicious intent,
which will spread and continue until all combustible
substances and materials available at the given object
burn out, conditions leading to self-extinguishing do
not arise, there will be active purposeful actions were
taken to localize and extinguish it."
In our country rich in forests, forest fires are a terrible
problem, especially if they occur during the dry season.

Fire is a very common occurrence. The cause of fire is

most often the human factor. A fire can occur in a
household, an office or an enterprise. Fires cover
forests in dry summer periods, as well as garbage
dumps. Any fire is an uncontrolled burning process
that will produce a large amount of substances that
pollute the environment. These substances affect not
only the environment, but also our health.
This is especially relevant for large fires that occur at
enterprises, shopping centers, warehouses, when a
forest is burning or at garbage dumps.
At this time, more than 200,000 natural fires or
vegetation fires (i.e., forest, shrub, steppe, etc.) occur
annually on Earth, and their number is increasing every
year. Catastrophic fire outbreaks on all continents
(except Antarctica) are becoming more frequent. The
damage that fires bring to humanity is enormous,
especially if we take into account not only direct, but
also indirect damage.

Most of the fires are detected in time, put out and soon
forgotten about. But those few fires that break out of
human control and reach catastrophic proportions
attract general attention for a long time.
They disrupt the rhythm of everyday life, bring a lot of
worries and sorrows. They are reported in newspapers,
talked about on the radio, and reported on television.
During such fires, houses and entire villages burn
down, animals die, and sometimes people too. Against
this background, the death of the forest itself seems
insignificant, although the damage can be very large.

It is still not possible to solve the problem of natural

fires with the help of increasing technical capacity.
But we will try to save our planet from such a terrible
threat.
