Black Mirror thoughts

The first episode of the Black Mirror was quite entertaining. It shows us the main characters

Lacie which only cares about her rating. My honest reaction on the 1st episode is that I actually

enjoyed it. It was quite entertaining to watch, and the lines of the characters were quite funny

at some points. This brings me to the main character Lacie. Lacie is nice when she gets good

ratings, but if she doesn't, she becomes the most annoying character and its not even close. She

tries to make people jealous because she is always doing good in life. But that all changes when

her rating drops drastically. Lacie becomes this mean, hateful character to everybody, she

looses her temper easily, she curses people out, and she becomes psycho. It tells us the only

thing she ever cared about in life was popularity. She becomes a hater to everyone she meets

and wants to hit people, maybe even possibly kill someone. The rating system comes from this

one app, and I would not use it. The app is pretty much used to make people feel bad about

themselves. Ratings shouldn’t matter to anyone, even if you have a high score, you could be a

mean and selfish, people with a low score, might be the nicest people because they’re trying to

make people happy. This episode of Nosedive relates to today’s society because its kind of like

Snapchat, the higher the snap score, the more attention you get on the internet. People will call

you hot, cute, pretty everything a highly rated person will get. But if your snap score is low, you

get not much attention at all and get no complements by anyone which is sad because
everyone deserves to be loved. This episode made me really surprised because this is actually

how people treat everyone in the real world, people will judge you for the littlest things and

make the biggest deal if you do one thing wrong. In conclusion, this first episode of the Black

Mirror seemed to true of what the world is actually becoming, at thing were people judge you

for no reason.
