you drive within the Congestion Charging zone, Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and Low
Emission Zone (LEZ).

Further, if your vehicle is subject to the Direct Vision Standard (DVS) HGV Safety Permit
Scheme, you must ensure you hold a valid permit to travel within the Greater London area.

Failure to pay the required charge(s) for Congestion Charging, LEZ or ULEZ or to hold a DVS
permit, may result in Penalty Charge Notice(s) being issued for one or more of the schemes.

The central London Congestion Charge operates Monday to Friday 7am-6pm and weekends
and Bank Holidays 12pm (noon)-6pm, every day of the year, excluding Christmas Day to the
New Year’s Day Bank Holiday (inclusive). The ULEZ operates 24 hours a day, every day of
the year, excluding Christmas Day. The LEZ and DVS operate 24 hours a day, every day of
the year.
