Introduction
The person I am interviewing for this assignment is Amanda Celestina. I conducted this
interview on October 9, 2023. I selected Amanda because I love her job, which is an Operation
Specialist. It takes a lot of leadership for this challenging work and requires focus on the job. She
gets events set up for sponsors that she coordinates with to make sure everything is ready for
when the event comes up. Amanda did not attend college or obtain a college degree for this job.
She researched this job and has worked there since she was hired. I chose to interview Amanda

arts, film, arts education classes and outreach, youth programming and cultural events”
(ArtsQuest). ArtsQuest intends to have people enjoy their art, programs, and sponsors. Events

held at ArtsQuest are nonprofit so everyone can enjoy their time for free. This agency serves as a
recreation organization. The units/teams within the agency all have the same mission statement.
Clientele Served
The clients served at this agency are mostly Lehigh Valley residents and others who seek
the entertainment of this agency. The ages of the client's average at 35 but ArtsQuest is welcome
to all ages. There are membership options but not needed to enjoy ArtsQuest. These membership
prices range from $125 to $1,100. The different levels of these memberships are Bronze, Silver,
Gold, Platinum, Steel. There are various benefits of the Steel membership that the bronze
membership does not have, which is more access to tickets for events, free access to certain
Valley. Clients from all regions are welcome to attend ArtsQuest events, programs, and
activities. This agency is inclusive of all genders and people. Their goal is to get everyone

performing arts, education & outreach, and access to ArtsQuest's mission is to provide access to
exceptional artistic. There are no specific facilities required to provide the services provided. An
example of all the events would include concerts, films, comedy shows, food, runs/walks, tours,
and family programming. ArtsQuest also includes visual arts which has art exhibitions, public
art, classes for the public, and resident artists. Performing arts includes Music, dance, films,

Musikfest Café, Levitt Pavillion, and Highmark BlueShield Community Stage. Education and
Outreach offers school programs, Community Outreach programs, educator resources, field trips
and group visits, ArtsQuest girl scout programs, and Teen Takeover. These events offer
community bonding and education. These events make the community happier and stronger.
Staffing
The staff has 51 to 200 employees on the job working. The whole agency is in the
recreation department. Each employee plays a different role in the agency when it comes to
recreation. Some may have a direct role in their job like leading the operations and working the
events. The employees are spread out through full-time, part-time, and volunteering. The agency
looks to use volunteers in the events that they hold that people can easily sign up for, using their
website.
Funding Sources
ArtsQuest uses both donors and sponsors to fund the nonprofit organization. The donors
of ArtsQuest donate money to have the sponsors come in and host events. The donors help by
funding to maintain the facility. The organization relies on donations because it is a nonprofit
organization and without donors there is no ArtsQuest. This organization is crucial to bringing
the community together for a great bonding experience. ArtsQuest is also important for young
children to learn and with no donors they do not get the right opportunities for learning.
Recreation plays a key role in overall well-being for people across the community, so having

The most challenging part of ArtsQuest is setting up the events of where, when, and what
ArtsQuest decides to host. It takes demanding work for staff to decide what people want to see
and what will bring in the most people. It takes a large amount of organization to plan the events
for ArtsQuest. The program also must coordinate with volunteers to see how many staff
members will be on the job that day. This requires a hefty amount of leadership which can be
hard by yourself.
