Introduction
Explore photovoltaic technology for indoor lighting source

Examines various indoor lighting source and their performance

Cheak the potential utility of LEC

Harvesting Energy from indoor lighting

Implement various type of improvement process

Problem Definition
Crisis of power supply with respect to demand.

Lack of opportunity and difficulties to harvest energy from renewable sources.

Absence of sun light during night period and other environmental variation.
Objectives
To harvest and recycle power from indoor lighting sources.

To analyse the impacts of different lighting sources and find suitable PV

module.
Literature Review
In the paper of Ahmad Nazri Dagang, the author showed LEC technology
consume lower power in comparison with LED

The measurement and procedure of harvesting energy from different

indoor lighting source are discussed in the Paper[7].

The authors have showed that DSCs provide higher efficiency under
artificial lighting sources.[8]
Literature Review Cont.
The problems that may occur when outdoor PV cell is placed into indoor
application are described in the paper[1].

In the review paper the authors [15], have considered that highest power
can be harvested form lighting sources in comparison with temperature,
vibrating equipment, electromagnetic sources, air flow etc.

QTH lamps are more effective and efficient over Xenon arc lamp when
implemented on AM1.5G solar cell.[9]
Literature Review Cont.
In the paper [3] the authors have showed that ACEL is more convenient in
comparison to LED fabrication and it can become highly flexible light
emitting device.

Another work shows that the efficiency of LEC can be improved by using
multi layer of SRO.

Possible Implementation
Light sensing functionality

Recover the charge of Battery used in solar based Street Lamp

Energy storing purpose

Industrial application
Result Analysis
Incandescent Lamp shows the best impact on different PV Module

AM-1815 Module is suitable as it is specially designed for indoor

purpose

PWM controller is suitable for indoor energy harvesting purpose

Very small amount of power is produced and Boost Converter is

needed to improve output voltage

Indoor Energy harvesting is independent of temperature

Scope for Future Works
Asses the economic feasibility of the proposed system

Design special PV module for indoor energy harvesting Purpose

Possibility of the proposed system for Bangladesh

Invent various types of devices using this concept

Implement various type of improvement process

Thesis Outcome

Amorphous Silicon (Thin Layer) PV cell is showing best output for

indoor application .

In indoor application with the variation of temperature negligible

amount of power is changed.

As there is negligible amount of change of irradiance in indoor lighting

sources, PWM Controller will be suitable for battery charging purpose.
Conclusion
If this system were to be put into action, it could prove beneficial in
augmenting the availability of energy harvesting sources, thereby
potentially assisting large industries and a developing nation like
Bangladesh. There is a significant potential for a broad spectrum of
research on this topic , If this system can be implemented perfectly.
