Chatterbox 1 A-2 – Units 6-10 Testing
1. Ask and Answer. Yes it is, No it isn’t :
Use the picture sheet. Point at a picture and ask: “Is it a pencil?” The student should then answer “Yes, it is.” or “No, it isn’t.” Ask several times pointing once at the right picture and once at the wrong picture.
2. She’s got small ears. She’s got + adjective:
Use the picture sheet. Point to a picture and ask the student to tell you what Caroline looks like. The students should complete the sentence that is started and encourage them to describe at least one other feature of Caroline. The student should answer in complete sentences by saying “She’s got a small ears.” or “She’s got a big mouth.”
3. Have you got your bag? Yes I have, No I haven’t :
Use the picture sheet. Tell the students that this is his/her bag. Ask the student several questions about what is and isn’t in the bag. E.g. “Have you got an umbrella in your bag?” or “Have you got a ruler?” The student should reply with “yes, I have.” or “No, I haven’t.’
4. Can you see an elephant? Yes I can, No I can’t :
Use the picture sheet. Point at the picture of the bag (same picture as question 3) and ask: “Can you see an elephant?” or “Can you see a boat?” The students should answer with “Yes, I can.” or “No, I can’t.”
5. Clothes and colours:
Use the picture sheet. Say to the student: “What colour is the skirt?” and “What colour is the shirt?” Students should be able to point at the appropriate picture.
