The Church Of

Jesus Christ of
L a t t e r - d a y S a i n ts

(CJCLDS)
Introduction
They believe in God, the Eternal
Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ,
and in the Holy Ghost. They believe
that God, Eternal Father, Jesus
Christ is different.
The members of this church, they
are known as 'Mormons 'because
their belief comes from The Book
of Mormon although they believe
in the Old and New Testament
but they base it mostly on the
book of Mormon. The book of
Mormon, had risen after the New
and Old Testament. But the
correct term is Latter Day Saints
01 the church named that way?
Why was

The Book of Mormon reports that

when Jesus Christ visited the
Nephites, He taught that the Church
should be called after His name.
Those baptized in the name of Christ
became part of “the church of
Christ” (3 Nephi 26:21; see also 27:8).
Baptism
The LDS say that men will be punished for their
own sins that's why they will be revealed at the
age of 8 years old because that is what they
believe is the age of accountability. You have a
brain that knows what is right and wrong. We
believe that the first principles and ordinances
of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by
immersion for the remission of sins; fourth,
Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy
Ghost.

practices and beliefs

In
Addition

We believe that through the Atonement of

Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience
to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
The Sacrament is a holy priesthood
ordinance that helps remind us of
the Savior's Atonement. During the
sacrament, we partake of bread and
water. We do this in remembrance of
His flesh and His blood, which He
gave as a sacrifice for us. As we
partake of the sacrament, we renew
sacred covenants with our Heavenly
Father.
The gift of receiving the Holy Ghost—
given by the laying on of hands
through priesthood authority—is one
way Heavenly Father reaches out to
His children in love.
Missionary
The missionaries are given the responsibility to preach the
gospel to all people, to baptize them, and to teach them to do
all things that the Lord has commanded (see Matthew 28:19–
20). Latter-day Saint missionaries go at their own expense to
all parts of the world to preach the gospel message.

A mission is an expedition to spread the gospel to new people,

aimed at expanding the church's membership. Missionaries
spend two years at their assigned missions, often in foreign
countries, sharing information about their beliefs and inviting
people to convert to Mormonism.
