1. What is the information age? What are other names related to the information age?
- the modern age regarded as a time in which information has become a commodity that is
quickly and widely disseminated and easily available especially through the use of computer
technology. The Information Age (also known as the Computer Age, Digital Age, Silicon Age,
or New Media Age)

2. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the information age


- As the world develops, more technology will appear, and this technology will have both
positive and negative impacts. Here are a few instances of how technology has impacted our
life. The information age has several benefits, one of which is an increase in productivity
while saving time. More than ever before, businesses are automating tasks using technology.
The exchange of information between employees, customers, and companies or suppliers is
optimized via electronic mail, e-fax, mobile phones, and text messaging. As a result, internal
and external organizations become more interconnected. On the flip side, digital technology
shatters our sense of political and local community. This utterly disproves the idea that the
world is a lovely place and that we live there.

- Young people are not only at risk from adult exploitation; children can also obtain sexual or
intimate photos of a peer and share them with or without the individual's consent. Digital
advances have meant that bullying is no longer left at the school gates; cyberbullying is a
new method for bullies to hurt and humiliate their victims with the click of a button. Words
and images posted online that are designed to cause harm are also difficult to delete,
increasing the risk of re-victimisation.
