6.0 Procedure
• Tank Drain, Tank Filling Line, Tank Outlet, Level gauge, Level transmitter Isolation Valves are kept Closed before
filling the tank.
• The tank is filled with the necessary Chemical as applicable for each packages.

6.1 Site acceptance Test of Chemical Injection Pumps

The chemical injection pumps are tested according to 31-SAMSS-009 and API 675 by pump manufacturer and test
reports shall be available during SAT of the system.
The tests described in this procedure are mainly to verify the function and system capacity.
Individual pumps shall be verified for flow rate through the calibration gauge installed in the suction pump line. Flow
to be verified by conducting one minute test, considering pump suction from the calibration gauge.

• Open the tank outlet isolation valve.

• Open the inlet isolation valve of calibration pot to fill it to its maximum capacity.
• After filling the calibration pot to its maximum capacity, close the inlet isolation valve of calibration pot.
• Close the tank outlet isolation valve.
• After closing the tank outlet isolation valve, open the calibration pot inlet isolation valve.
• Set the pump at its full stroke length.
• Open the pump suction isolation valve on the downstream of calibration pot for the pump which has to be tested.
• Start the pump.
• Verify the back pressure created by using pump discharge line install pressure gauge.
• Verify the required flow rate by taking one minute reading from the calibration pot.
• The same procedure has to be applied for testing the standby pump.

Notes:
a. All the certificates for pump and motor will be produced during the SAT.
b. Pumps shall be tested with actual flow requirement and stroke length, and this flow rate shall be noted in
SAT record.
c. Calibration certificates of all instruments shall be presented during the SAT.

6.2 Site acceptance Test of Level Gauge (LG) in Tank :

The Tank shall be filled with Chemical. The Level gauge should indicate 100% when tank is full & 0% level when
tank is empty. Ensure the tank is filled till the overflow nozzle.

a) 0% level check
• Open the vent isolation valve of the LG
• Drain off the fluid completely in LG by opening the drain isolation valve of the LG.
• Close the vent and drain Isolation Valve of the LG.
• Verify the scale reading on the magnetic indication rail of the LG.
• The LG scale reading shall be recorded in the below table

SITE ACCEPTANCE TEST PROCEDURE
REV: C01
b) 100% level check
• Open the vent Isolation Valve and Close the drain Isolation valve of the LG
• Open the LG isolation valves.
• Fill the tank up to 100% of the tank volume.
• Verify the scale reading on the magnetic indication rail of the LG.
• The LG scale reading shall be recorded in the below table

6.3 Site acceptance Test of Level Transmitter (LIT GWR Type)

• Connect the mA generator to the Level Transmitter terminals on the skid edge Analog signal Junction box.
• Verify the LIT display & mA output reading @ tank 0% level
• Verify the LIT display & mA output reading @ tank 100% level

The calibration certificate of the Level Transmitter shall be available for review during SAT

Note:
1) Accuracy of LIT is as per respective datasheet
2) Test shall be carried out along with LG testing

6.4 Site acceptance Test of Level Indicator (LI)

• Connect the Level Indicator terminals on the skid edge Analog signal Junction box.
• Verify the LI display along with LIT reading @ tank 0% level
• Verify the LI display along with LIT reading @ tank 100% level
Note:
1) Test shall be carried out along with LG & LIT testing

6.5 Site acceptance Test of Auto Stroke Controller

• Connect the Auto Stroke Controller terminals on the skid mounted Power Junction Box.
• Connect the Hart communicator to the pump auto stroke controller through the Power Junction Box terminals.
• Set the pump at its full stroke length by setting the 20mA at Hart Communicator.
• Verify the required flow rate from the calibration pot or the FIT display.
• Repeat the same procedure for 12mA & verify the appropriate flow rate of the pump.
Note:
1) For manual stroke, please follow clause 6.1 and appendix A (SAT test on chemical injection)
2) Verify the pump performance curve for the stroke % and respective flow rate.

6.6 Site acceptance test of Pressure Differential Indicator (PDI) Across Strainer
• When pump is running and fully open the isolation valve on the HP or LP side and verify the PDI dial reading for
normal operation.
• When pump is running and partially close the isolation valve on the HP or LP side and verify the PDI reading for
clogging condition.
6.7 Site acceptance Test of Pressure transmitter (PIT) for diaphragm rupture detection
• Diaphragm rupture pressure transmitter will be tested by external simulation with a dead weight tester at
calibration room.
• Connect the transmitter to the dead weight tester.
• Apply required pressure to the transmitter with dead weight tester. Check the appropriate reading in the
transmitters display.
Note:
The calibration certificate of the Pressure Transmitter shall be available for review during SAT.

6.8 Site acceptance Test for Pressure Indicator (PI) for discharge piping
• Start the chemical dosing pump.
• Close the isolation valve on the discharge side.
• Build the pump discharge pressure up to 10% of Operating Pressure with respect to P&ID and verify the Pressure
indicator dial reading.
• Repeat the above and take reading for 100% of Operating pressure with respect to P&ID respectively and verify
