Problem Statement

The manual grants management processes was inefficient and ineffective so it was
time consuming and difficult for customers to wait and learn the process. That’s
why an efficient, secure and time saving electronic grant system is needed to
facilitate users.

Project Description

The primary purpose of this project is to provide an enterprise technology solution


for grants management. This project is intended to allow for easy access to the
citizens who want to use grant systems. Project will provide an easy and simple
management systems to apply for the grants. The local governments, business
enterprises, non-profit organizations and individuals will get benefit from this
system. The system will be user friendly and no one will feel difficulty to use it.
Website will be made simple and secure. Applicant will get his grant in his own
account after the 60 minutes of approval of grant.

Project Goal

 E-grants management system has a goal to provide a system at customers’ fingertips.


 To provide a centralized grant system in a country.
 Citizens should have access to grants at their home of any desired place.
 Provide a risk-free and simple system to apply for grants.
 To keep an efficient record of grant customers for long time.

Funding

This project is funded by the government.

Project Scope (items in scope)

E-grant management system project scope is to deliver a standard and centralized


enterprise Grants Management process to facilitate customers. In addition, each
agency has to use same process for approving grants to public.

Project Scope (items NOT in scope)

This system will not include any federal grant programs or funds. It means that this
system will not issue any grant from federal revenues.

High Level Business Requirements

The system shall provide:

 A secure, simplified and paperless process that local governments, enterprises, non-
profits organizations and individuals can use.
 The new system will include a grants management web site
 The web site should be user-friendly.
 Users can search quickly with just a few clicks of the mouse.
 User should not have to be an IT expert to find the information he or she wants.

 Project management plan
 Gathering functional and technical requirements.
 A grant management website

Implementation Approach

E-grant management system must be implemented by the government and it is the


responsibility of concerned authorities to implement it at all relevant agencies.
