Guidance Note for E-YUVA Fellows

Please read the guidance note and scheme guidelines document carefully before filling in the
application form.

Team Members:
❖ Each team shall comprise minimum of 3 & maximum of 5 students.
❖ Among the team members, one student needs to be identified as Team Representative
(TR). TR will be responsible for overall coordination on behalf of the team, including
filling forms, representing team, receiving & sending communication etc.
❖ Please note that the role and contribution of all team members is equally important.
❖ The team members can be different colleges or institutes.
❖ Each student needs to submit an Authorisation Letter provided by E-cell of the Institute as
per prescribed format.
o For a team with students from same college/institute, a combined letter may be
issued by the E-cell.
o In case the team comprises students from different colleges/institutes, each student
needs to submit individual authorisation letter.

Team Mentor:
❖ A single mentor shall be chosen for a team. The mentor should be a faculty at one of the
institute/college where the team members belong to.
❖ A mentor shall be required to oversee and supervise the team activities during the project
duration.
❖ Annual research grant shall be released to the Institute’s account, where the mentor works
as a faculty. Utilization of annual grant is to be done for activities by team members across
their colleges/institutes or as required for the smooth conduct of project. Team Mentor shall
be responsible for managing optimum utilization of funds.
❖ The mentor needs to submit an undertaking accepting the roles and responsibilities as per
prescribed format.
EYUVA Centres:

❖ BIRAC has established EYUVA centres across the country. Each EYUVA team needs to
identify 3 EYCs in order of preference. Click on the link to see the list of current EYCs.
❖ The Centres will be responsible for various activities as mentioned in detailed guidelines.

Broad spread of activities to be undertaken by E-YUVA fellows during the year:

➢ Orientation/awareness program at EYC and/or EYUVA Knowledge Partner, including

virtual sessions, webinars etc.

➢ Identification and firming up of work plan for the problem statement.

➢ Periodic review and presentations for assessment of work done by EYC.

➢ Identification and interaction with a start-up idol.

➢ Submission of quarterly report to EYC in a prescribed format.

➢ Submission of final report along with future prospects to EYC.

Awards & Recognitions:

➢ Team mentor shall be provided a Recognition Certificate on successful completion of

the project.

➢ Each team member will be provided a certificate on successful completion of the

project.

➢ Up to 5 teams may be considered for an award based on a joint selection by EYCs, EY

Knowledge Partners and BIRAC.

➢ Up to 3 EYC centres may be considered for an award based on a joint selection by EY

Knowledge Partners and BIRAC.
