Nowadays, whether governments should prevent people from doing hazardous sports or

allow them to be involved in any activities has caused a heated debate. In this
composition,I will analyse both sides of the debate before setting out my own point
of view.
To begin with,it is indisputable that governments have the obligation to ensure the
safety and security of its citizens' lives.
This means that governments prohibiting people from doing such harmful things can
preclude the possibility of serious injuries, as extreme sports pose a significant
potential threat to the physical safety of citizens.By doing so governments can
ensure the safety of citzens.
On the other hand, there are those who believe that they should have the right to do
the activities whatever they want to do.The reason is that participating in
sports, regardless of the risk level,is a matter of personal choice and
autonomy.Furthermore, with proper protective measures and adequate training in
place, risks can be significantly reduced.
After weighing up both sides of the argument,my opion is that the risks involved in
the freedom of doing extreme sports do not automatically justify the
action:goverment prohibiting people from involving in every unsafe event. There
are,of course, extreme sports are more likely to result in injuries or even
fatalities compared to conventional sports. But fortunately these people are few and
far between. What is more,we can avoid this by implementing safer measures.
In sum, while governments have a responsibility to ensure public safety, including
in the realm of sports, personal freedom and choice are equally important.I believe
that rather than imposing a ban, the government should focus on regulating extreme
sports to ensure safety standards are met.
