 All hydro testing shall be carried out as per approved method statement.
 All equipments and pressure gauze shall have valid third party
calibration/inspection certificate.
 Trained and competent operatives shall be engaged during testing.
 Appointment of competent person to execute the testing.
 Ensure all valves, joints, gauze are fixed securely.
 Adequate manpower deployed at site with adequate resource to rectify the
defects.
 Method statement and job safety analysis to be communicated to the workers
involved.
 First aid facility provided while hydro testing hot water supply system.
 HSE Coverage for hydro testing is required.
 Hydro Testing to be executed under strict compliance to material verification
record (MRV) and approved hydraulic calculation of the respective area.
 Area has been cordon off, appropriate signage posted and others worker
communicated about the testing activity.
 .Ensure operatives wear appropriate personnel protective equipments while
carrying out hydro testing.
 Appropriate hand protection are used while handling hot surface for hot water
hydro testing
 Adequate illumination is provided inside the room for hydro testing.
 First aider with first aid facility shall be deployed for hot line hydro testing.

 Authorised operatives shall be allowed to stand in safe distance from the

affected area.
 Movement of other contractor shall be restricted by deploying stand bye person
from the working party.
 Tighting, Repairing loosening of bolts, nuts, flange and other fittings shall not be
carried out until pipe has been de-pressured by drain out.
 Electrical cable to be taken care to avoid coming in contact with water.
 Any spillage shall be clean up immediately.

