PREFACE
Praise be to God Almighty for all his grace, guidance, and gifts so that
we can complete this research well. I compiled this research to fulfill
one of the group assignments of the English language course. This
research is entitled Public Art Observation.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to various parties who
have provided assistance in this research, especially to Lecturer Prima
Dona Hapsari who has provided invaluable guidance, direction, and
input during this research process. Without her guidance and support,
we would not have been able to complete this research.
Thank you also to the community respondents who have been willing
to participate in this research. Without their participation, this research
would not have been conducted. I realize that this research has
limitations, both in terms of methods and resources. However, I hope
that this research can be the beginning of further research that is more
in-depth and structured. Hopefully, the results of this research can
provide benefits for students.

CHAPTER I
A. Introduction
In this report, I present my observations of various public art
installations in Ngaglik, Pendowoharjo, Sewon, Bantul Regency,
Special Region of Yogyakarta during 30 September 2023. Public art
plays a significant role in shaping the cultural landscape of a city and
often reflects the values, history, and creativity of community. This
report aims to provide an overview of the public art pieces I
encountered and my reflections on their impact.
This report seekd not only to intericately depict the existing artworks
but also to explore the impact that public art exerts on surrounding
environment and the communities that engage with it.
B. Methodology
I conducted this observation by visiting several public art sites across
the city. I made notes, took photographs, and engaged with the
environment to understand the context and significance of each piece.

more about the nature of human nature that is very diverse.
B. Recommendations
The lack of community involvement has made it difficult for us
to gather information about the history of the public art. However, this
can be addressed but conducting outreach through the artistic team
responsible for the work. They can explain, in a method that is easy
for the local community to understand, that public art or murals are
not just abstract art.
