Fuel Level Measurement and Volume of Non-Conveying Vehicles

1.Overview of Product

This module uses the ultrasonic detection technology to measure the height of fuel level in
container and output a standard electrical signal after through circuit processing
The Ultrasonic sensor outer adheres on the bottom of the fuel tank and no need directly to
contact with the fuel level that could be real-time detection the height of fuel level
Can be widely used in various types of vehicles for fuel measuring and monitoring, also could be
combined with GPS/GPRS communication technology, through the computer software
management platform IoT to achieve scientific management vehicles, prevent fuel theft
behavior and save the vehicle operating cost.

2.4 Features of Product

1. High accuracy.

Resolution of sensor’s measurement for fuel height is 0.1mm.And its measurement accuracy is
±0.5%. It keeps higher accuracy even in highest or coldest outside environment.

2. Excellent stability.

Different from direct-contact measurement of float-type, pressure-type, magnetic sliding-type,

fuel level sensor uses ultrasonic and non-contact measurement, which can avoid pollution and
corrosion from fuel and keep stability in a long period of time.

3. Easy installment and maintenance.

You only need to install the sensor probe on lower surface of fuel tank. You don’t need to change
its original measurement system or punch hole for it. Its original fuel meter operates as usual.

4. No pollution and lower consumption.

This non-contact measurement and non-punch hole for fuel tank can keep off pollution from fuel.

5. High reliability.

It can still work in bad environment and it is damp-proof, acid-proof, flame-retardant, anti-
interference, intellectualized. This product can be used independently to check data from
auxiliary display. It can also used with GPS, which sends data to background for statistics,
analysis and query.

This ultrasonic fuel level sensor can be used for all kinds of vehicle(logistics car/taxi/public
bus/passenger bus ). It records refueling and fuel consumption in a digital way, which avoid fuel
being stolen, wasting and enhance the efficiency,improved safety and reinforce management.

3 Installation

Features:

1. Measuring precision:

Measurement resolution is 0.1mm, liquid level measurement accuracy is 1mm

Ultrasonic sensor makes the temperature correction in -40 to +80°C and make sure it can run
under the high or low temperature external environment and to collect accurate data

2. Good stability:

Uses the newest ultrasonic non-contact technology, compare with the traditional measuring
method of direct contact, float-type, pressure-type, magnetic system of sliding, it does not
contact with fuel level directly and could be sure its stability and long-life

3. Easy to install:

Need to install it on the bottom of fuel tank and no need to change the tank structure without
punch or change the fuel tank and can measure the fuel capacity directly so that can be saving
the cost of installation

4. Simple application:

When we designed this product before, we had taken into account to butt joint with all kinds of
communication product data
When you choose it you can find it can be directly combined with the common GPS/GPRS
transmission module thus to reduce the secondary development of users and to achieve the
correct and manage the height of liquid level

electromagnetic interference
